Review Notes:
I bought a sampler pack of different Monty's for a very reasonable price ( $2.00 per cigar), and this is a very good cigar. A quality wrapper and perfect const., this is a trouble free smoke. I'm tasting nuts and leather with a creamy background, a med. strength cigar. What I really like is the finish after each puff, long with a cream soda like flavor. This being a great tasting smoke, I still can't see paying $8.00 or more per cigar.

Review Notes:
Okay, now that we've established that it is in no way similar to the original, ISOM Montecristo (of which I am a HUGE fan), these cigars are terrific in their own way. I find them almost always impeccably built, with a smooth, creamy toasty flavor and some faint woodsy and leathery notes, along with just the slightest hint of spice if you puff them quickly enough. I try to keep at least a few of these around for when the mood for a smooth, creamy, mild smoke strikes me. I've had a few that I had lying around for several years, and after some aging, they are absolutely smooth smokes. Recommended, just don't expect them to taste like "Montes", as the previous reviewer stated, take these for what they are and you will enjoy them.

Review Notes:
If one accepts the fact that this is not a Cuban Monte, but a very well constructed, a couple of notches above mild Dominican cigar made with quality tobacco and a nice shiny Connecticut wrapper then you won't have a problem with this one. Minty pre draw, razor sharp burn with a white ash leads into a nice toasty bread taste. Easy draw with the cigar finishing with a little kick at the end. If you want to learn how to blow smoke through your nose, this is a cigar you could practice on.

Review Notes:
Smooth medium-bodied smoke, but simply average in the flavor department: woody, with a spicy hit on the back of the throat. Prelight aroma was very chocolatey, and the finish did have some cocoa-like notes. Plentiful smoke which was itself pleasant smelling. Long, lingering aftertaste which I didn't care for. Mild enough for a morning cigar, would probably pair well with some coffee. Lacked complexity, needed more flavor and less aftertaste.

Review Notes:
This is a nice average cigar. Nothing more, nothing less. Good looking wrapper, even burn and easy draw. But flavors are lacking that Montecristo taste. Not bad though. Worth the $4.
