Review Notes:
There are a couple of kinks that need to be ironed out with the Fer De Lance, the smoke offers a far more varied smoking experience that it overshadows the shortcomings.
This stick has both the smoothness of coffee cream and sweetness of fresh cut wood. The burn is not rushed, allowing smokers to further enjoy the stick to its full potential. The final third and te finish has a delicious sweet earthy taste that stays for awhile so you can really enjoy it.

Review Notes:
bought these in october 07. nice dark wrapper, good construction, H2000 burns somewhat unevenly, but not enough to require touchup. in my opinion best smoked slowly. medium full flavor with a little kick. not really complex, but a pretty good smoke for a this size corona. i would say that if you like H2000 wrappers (i do), you will probably like this one as well.

Review Notes:
The first thing you notice with this cigar is the cardboard wrapper. Sort of like a bottle of wine with a screw top. Cigar manufacturers use cedar sleeves to impart cedar notes, what were these guys thinking? After immediately smoking a couple from a box I bought nearly two years ago, I decided to lay the rest down, without the cardboard, and haven’t touched them till now. They are attractive cigars with a nice dark brown wrapper and a strong leather and tobacco aroma. Rolling the cigar between my fingers it felt firm and the pre-light draw was not too tight and had the same leather and tobacco aroma. I became encouraged. After toasting the foot the cigar lit perfectly and burned straight as a laser. The first third was still leather and tobacco. The next third revealed a new flavor, cardboard. I guess that explains the cardboard sleeve. If you like strong flavors of leather and tobacco with a nice nicotine kick, this stick is for you. If your looking for complexity, nuance or anything else stay away from this one.

Review Notes:
This is an excellent cigar. It has no construction issues at all. Of the half-dozen or so that I have smoked, not one has had a single burn problem, draw problem, wrapper problem.
The flavor is great, although I am grading it a 7 only because other cigars are better, but there are a lot of cigars that are really deficient in the flavor department. At no time does one struggle to find flavor in this cigar. It always delivers.

Review Notes:
I smoked one of these coronas on my way to a supplier. At 7 AM in the morning, I was stuck in traffic, and since I still had at least 110 miles to go on my trip that day, I rolled down the window, cut the cap off, and lit it with my cheap little (but very effective) Xikar Solo lighter (thank you Famous Smoke for some great auction deals). The draw on the cigar was much better than the first one that I tried a few weeks before, as the cigar had opened up and put out a fair amount of smoke. The sweetness of the maduro wrapper was immediately tasted after the first couple of puffs. Solid tobacco taste, makes me wish I had bought another box (JR had a special on this brand with a free humidor and lighter to boot, very good deal for an otherwise pricier cigar). For its appearance, the wrapper was very smooth (few veins, but honestly does a vein matter when it comes to the cigar taste and aroma?) and the box pressed shape makes it that much better to chomp on between my teeth. I will smoke some more over the next few months and tell you how it is, my reader fanbase.
