Review Notes:
I had one of these sitting in my humidor for about 10 months (mid to upper-60s RH), until tonight that is. The flavor had the mild sweetness characteristic of Ecuador Connecticut wrappers. The burn was near perfect, the draw was right on, and it also produced a fair amount of smoke. A nutty flavor came and went throughout the cigar, offering just a little bit of complexity. I'm not big fan of Connecticut wrappers, but this was a nice change of pace. Still, is it good enough to justify buying more at $8 or $9? Not quite.

Review Notes:
Not much of a pre-light aroma. To me that was a let down and was surely a sign of things to come. It lit easily and for the first third the burn was clean and even. Smoke was somewhat sparse and the taste I found to be quite bland and uninspiring.
The fist ash held on for almost 2" and the taste just started to get a little more interesting at that point. I then noticed the draw, which started out a little tight (the way I prefer it) had suddenly become quite loose. I discovered the wrapper had cracked significantly.
I soldiered on, even smoked past the wrapper-flaw, but the taste turned acrid and it stopped being even remotely interesting. This was my second (and last) Monte White.

Review Notes:
I really liked this cigar. Good construction, beautiful appearence, wrapper was a little dry, perfect draw, just enough smoke without being too much. Flavors of toast, cream, and nuts. Medium in body for my tastes. This is a well balanced smoke and by far the best of all non-Cuban Montecristos. The only drawback was the price which is way too high for me to consider buying these by the box.

Review Notes:
I enjoyed this cigar for what it was-a light cigar. It started out creamy and then became nutty in flavor. It progressed onto a toasted nut flavor . After about halfway through the cigar, it really lost a lot of it's character and was really done. I kept smoking it, but it never really regained anything. The cigar had a nice, even burn, which I liked. Unfortunately, it had a somewhat tough draw for me, which is why the construction score went down. The ash was a darker gray color, and it help up very well and was very dense. I suspect that the tightness of the roll was probably to blame for the tough draw. If this cigar had been about $4-5 cheaper, it would have been a good deal. Unfortunately, it wasn't. The cost didn't match the results.

Review Notes:
This cigar started lovely. Great burn, mellow tobacco flavors, but the somewhat abrasive aroma was a sign of bad things to come. As I neared the second half this cigar just turned on me. It got harsh and funky and the aroma and burn got worse. Stay away. Many better values out there.
