Review Notes:
Found this from a fiver I bought several years ago. A little hard, probably not enough humidity in my third stirng humidor. However, a fine taste and the burn was good. The Montesino Gran Corona is a good example of a stick that hangs right in the middle of "plain good cigar" and "First Tier Smoke". This was a low priced smoke, but worth much more. Not a Montecristo, but solid.

Review Notes:
I got this as a 'freebie' from the local shop with spending above some set amount, so I didn't know what to expect. Being a heavy-bodied maduro type, I wasn't expecting the complexity that this one provided! VERY pleasantly surprised! Yes, I would say this is a mild cigar (medium to some, but I still say it is mild). The flavors changed throughout, from toast (the first inch or so) to a very mild hot-pepper (not black- pepper, but jalapeno-type) in the next inch or two, mellowing to a creamy yet volumous smoke in the last third. The construction had many veigns, but burn was consistent. The aftertaste was the only negative, as it had a bitter 'been at the bar all night' smell that wasn't appealing to me. All in all, I'd say this was an 8, but one of the best mild cigars I've had. Note the 8 is more for my bias towards stronger cigars, versus the 9 that this likely deserves if rated just as itself as a mild cigar.

A mild to medium cigar with excellent burn, construction, taste. Very pleasant aroma too. This is definitely one of my favorite cigars.

Review Notes:
A good mild to medium smoke with a hint of spice during ignition. The draw was very good for a cigar of this size and the burn was acceptable, although somewhat uneven. A nice mild start, and throughout most of the smoke; without much strain on my saliva-gauge. The aroma was classic, the taste flavorful; what I've come to expect from a good, everyday cigar. Perhaps the masterfully aged, vintage tobaccos have something to do with this. A mild to medium finish, which lingered on my palate, topped off this fine handmade stick from Tabacalera A. Fuente.
