Review Notes:
I always smoke at least two or three stogies before writing my review because you never know when you either just got a great one, or a bad one, particularly with handmade cigars. I bought a 5 pack from a JR special and finished the last of the bunch last week. The appearance is beautiful, with a dark, oily wrapper, nicely rolled and looks like it's asking to be smoked. My beef with this cigar comes from the fact that i smoked five of them and still don't know what to think. They all started out fine, with a nice smooth but strong flavor. The first one burned well all the way through with a nice ash and even, smooth draw. However, at the halfway mark, it changed to a bitter flavor. The second tasted great the whole way through, but didn't burn well at all, you name it, it did it. Canoed, tunnelled and wouldn't stay lit. It was horrible, except when it was burning, it tasted great. there was no consistency through tthe remaining three either, all of them were completely unique to one another. I'll tell you this....I see a very good cigar if there was any consistency to them at all, that is if you could take all the positive qualities out of the ones i smoked and roll them into one. They were good enough that I may take another shot on them just to see if i got a strange batch, but if they are this inconsistent next time around, I'll find other comparable brands to drop the $3 - $4 a smoke on.
