"The National Passtime!"

Review Notes: Looking at the band and the price I figured this would be my father's cigar. Well, I figured wrong. I hope Dad did get to taste the nutty-sweetness with a hint or two of spice, it was delicious. Now, this is a mild cigar. However it does have flavor and doesn't just taste like air. Like the reviewer "notme" mentions below, it goes well with an adult beverage (I'd prefer "sippin whiskey"). It did have a couple of dark spots on the wrapper and didn't have that good a burn. Overall, it's not quite a "top tier" cigar, but it's close enough to be a bargain at $2 bucks a stick. So if you like cigars like Gispert, Don Diego or 5 Vegas Gold, you'll go for the National Longsdale!

Review Notes: A mild to medium cigar. It starts a little boring but it doesn't take long for the flavor to begin coming through. I smoked mine down to the last inch and a quarter or so before the flavor went south. Make sure you smoke it down to at least two inches as the flavor goes from a mild earthy slightly velvety to nutty and spicy at the end. I paired this with some inexpensive port and throughly enjoyed myself. The ash isn't going to hold it's shape for 3" (therefor a 7 on construction) but hey, it's a $2 cigar. You can buy$5 or $6 long coronas that this will stand up to. All in all a great value.

Review Notes: Medium-full bodied with peppery taste with a nutty-cocoa finish. Reminiscent of pipe tobacco. Beautiful wrapper, very fragrant.
