Review Notes:
I had to go into cigar shop three states away, wearing a trench coat, and sunglasses, so none of my fellow cigar snobs would see me buying this quasi "flavored cigar!" Normally, I'd rather take a bullet in face than be caught dead smoke a flavored cigar, and many is the time that I've busted the chops of a rookie who is turning green on one of my puros, saying: "Hey, Sweeheart, maybe you ought to stick to Swisher Sweets and leave the real cigars to the real men!" There was something appealling, however, about these strange cigars. Something esoteric, and ecclectic, but with a underlying quality of, well...................quality that made me want to try them. So, after seeing some positive reviews in Smoke Magazine I decide to give them a day in court.
Now this "mixed elements looks a little rustic, but thats mostly because of the unfinished foot. The wrapper and overall construction were top notch. The burn and draw could have been better, but not overly so. The flavor was the eye opener! I have no idea what is done to add the nuances to this cigar, but it works! It was medium to full bodied, without a trace of harshness, and the flavors were nothing like anything I had ever tasted in a cigar before. I loved it, and I did'nt think I would. Bottomline: If you have been on the quest for a top draw cigar, that has all the qualities of smoke, but with"something different........try this.
