Review Notes: I have burned through quite a few of these sticks (and thrown quite a few away) and still can’t figure out if it is a descent cigar or a dyed tampon. For the most part they are clogged and do not smoke well; though aging does seem to help I agree. Some are mushy, have mushy spots and some solid and fairly well constructed. But there are a few in every bundle that are on the edge of excellence. If NP had any sense they would get a Quality Control department for obviously they have none currently and capitalize on this one, there is definitely potential here. These sticks are tremendously inconsistent; requiring constant touch-ups with a lighter. I’m not sure where anyone would get buttery, creamy, and nutty butter when it heats up, from a cigar. It is tobacco, smoke: an irritant! Not a dairy product. Thick, dense, leathery, smooth, raspy, cloying, yes! Hickory, bitter, woodsy, grassy, oak, earthy, fresh turned soil sure, but buttery, C’mon, don’t be a lemming! Chocolate Thundah? I don’t think so! Get this stick with the caveat that you may have to smoke through a few duds before you get a good one! Not sure if allowed but go for an Oliveros El Padrino instead.

Review Notes: I bought Nestor Reserve Maduro at auction as they said it has a 93 ci rating, but the cigar I got would probably not rate at 85. Draw is horrible, not worth smoking. I've tried 3, I've aged 'em 6 mos. If you only have a buck or so and a good rod, go for it. Taste is good-but not xlnt. These are just not worth the trouble to me.

Review Notes: First, I am reviewing the cigar called "The Nestor Reserve Maduro" which is commonly available on the C.I. site. This stick needs a bit of aging to reach it's best, however it is a nice easy and sweet smoke right when it arrives. I do believe that they may used mixed filler on the bundles at times because I've had several that would not hold over 1/2" in ash prior to breaking off. Construction is good in that it is box pressed and the wrapper seems sturdy. The look isn't top tier as the wrapper looks to be splochy perhaps due to dye? On occasion a seam sealed with india gum is noticeable. No biggie at the price paid, especially since the cigar wrapper holds up well. The taste is pretty mild as the main component is sweetness. I also sense mild mocha/chocolate as the next taste...Still the sweet wrapper is the main taste. As it burns and warms up there is a bit of nutty butter. Still besides the sweeetness the other components never do rise above the candy like sweetness. Nothing offensive here I sense, but the sweetness may be polarizing because if you do not like it...Well, you are not going to like this stick. I think this is a pretty respectable smoke and maybe even, when taken in context, even quite good. Not great mind you, but solid with the caveat you simply have to want a sweet smoke. For me a once and a while smoke. For a newbie something besides a Macanudo to rotate in.

Review Notes: Smoked one in in taste comp between this and RP Olde World. This cigar has a poor draw, chemical tasting finish, with a matching wrapper. My brother brought these to the table...

Review Notes: This cigar is bad! No good flavor or burn, the wrapper is definitely dyed! There is no way on Gods good earth that this cigar got a 93 rating from C.A.
