Review Notes: Curiosity finally got the better of me and in this case it killed the cat! Based on the other reviews, somebody was asleep at the rollers bench when they made this one. Nicaraguan?, more like South Philly. Woody, un complex, dull, soft and ugly. Cuban? if that's the case the Lusitania just went down again.....yuk!

Review Notes: I see I'm the last one who posted on the Piramide. I complained to the manufacturer and retail dealer about the burn issues. They were very gracious in their response. Got a new box for free....this one with a labeled manufacture date a few months after my dud box. This box has no burn problems. I've almost finished the entire lot and am ready to buy another one. It is one of my favorite stogies if not the top of the pyramid. It's got the bite and spice that you expect from a Nicaraguan corojo but it is nicely balanced with a buttery, creamy base. It is also a fine looking cigar with a reddish hue to the wrapper. I'm assuming their manufacture problems have been fixed....the dud box had a March '05 label and I would guess you probably won't find any more of those around.

"Plagued by Construction Issues"

Review Notes: Bought a couple of singles at my local tobacconist. Both were too tightly packed near the cap which made the pull too hard though they burned well. Yet loved the taste so much I bought a box. Smoked a few out of the box so far and each one was plagued by uneven burns....so much so that the taste became charred tasting near around half way through the stick. When this stogie burns properly it is an excellent tasting cigar. Reminds me somewhat of the JDN Antanos but with a fuller, creamer and more complex taste. Unfortunately I am now beginning to regret the box purchase because the burns have been just awful. Put out each of the box purchases well before its time. Not recommended due to construction problems and very inconsistent builds.

"Good cigar"

Review Notes: As far as cuban in flavor, I say bull butter. A good Nicaraguan Puro but in no way shape or form does it taste cuban(least none I've ever had). Starts out mild, almost bland till an inch or so in then the spice sets in to build into a medium bodied smoke. Nice looking stick that drew perfectly throughout with a nice tight ash that got to over 2" before falling in my lap. Slight sweetness to the wrapper with hints of coffee. Overall a good middle of the day smoke that finishes well, and a pretty good value.

"Don't know about Cuban..."

Review Notes: But this cigar was definitely a Nicaraguan Puro at its strongest. Mine had a good draw and was very spicy, with a core of solid tobacco flavors and wood and a tangy finish of sharp pine. Definitely had some good kick to it.
