Review Notes:
This cigar has a very nice Con. wrapper, basically flawless. Expert const. means no touch-ups needed. Sweet tobacco flavor with cedary hints makes this stick very enjoyable. As advertised, this cigar hits the "sweet-spot" right off the bat, very nice. I bought a ten pack for $30.00, very reasonable. I don't think I would pay full price for these, just too expensive. Overall, a very good mild cigar.

Review Notes:
This cigar helped the Nubs to become my new favorite smoke. While I prefer the Cameroon to be my favorite Nub, this was my first exposure to the Nub line.
Love the size. Looks good. Had a slight burning issue at first, not used to lighting such a huge ring gauge. The burn issue quickly fixed itself. Ash was a light gray color. Mild/medium, creamy with a very little hint of spice. Had a lovely draw to it. Smoke time was about 75 minutes.

Review Notes:
Fairly characteristic of all the nubs. Very good looking, but this one burned a bit cooler than most others I've tried. Again, the Connecticut wrapper is not my favorite, the Cameroon remains my favorite.

Review Notes:
Another very well constructed cigar, I am impressed with the draw and burn on these for such a huge RG. This one had more flavor and body than the Habano wrappered Nub, but was still fairly mild. I would describe the flavor as "pleasant", not a great cigar but not a bad one either. The torpedo versions seem much more "normal" to smoke as one can control the size of the head. Not something I would spend the asking price for, but a pleasant enough cigar for a walk with the dog. Not sold on the "sweet spot" theory by any means though.

Review Notes:
APPEARANCE: Stumpy looking stick. There is no mistaking this chubby little stick. The foot is packed with tobacco. The cap it torpedo and cut quite nicely with my Palio.
AROMA/ BOUQUET: Pre light smelled like popcorn. To confirm my senses, upon lighting, the aroma was distinctly buttered popcorn. Very unique..
SMOKE: Average amount of smoke. I could see this as a cigar you could smoke in a room with someone who didn’t like the smell of smoke…ensuring you were properly ventilated, of course.
BURN: I realized immediately I should have rented a welders torch to light this thing. Finally got her lit. The initial burn phase was slow, as advertised.
DRAW: Not too bad. A little on the tougher side, but with all that tobacco this is expected.
FLAVOR 1/3: Very rich for a Connie. With all the guts inside this meaty puppy, I do not think the wrapper has much of a say so thus far. Typical creamy flavors of caramel and still a tad of popcorn, yet much richer than I have had.
FINISH/AFTERTASTE 1/3: The popcorn is completely gone as new tastes begin dancing on my tongue. Got a little burnt toast taste on my tongue at this point.
FLAVOR 2/3: Finally got through this part of the smoke. Not that I was timing it or anything. I put her down for long periods of time, and have not had to touch up. I have noticed that the smoke volume has stared to pick up.
FINISH/AFTERTASTE 2/3: She is starting to taper off and get a little more consistent at this point. The flavors are all over the place, yet predictable.
FLAVOR 3/3: Started detecting some spicy nuts flavor…like cashews with spice. Between draws I also detected roasted coffee bean flavors. Interesting. This cigar changed character quite a bit from the beginning.
FINISH/AFTERTASTE 3/3: A medium finish that surprisingly ended flatly for me. I think the crescendo was at the beginning of the 3/3. I definitely enjoyed the first part of this cigar than the last.
SUMMARY:
For the most part, I am an afternoon/night smoker. I do not normally enjoy Connecticut wrappers. This baby is acceptable for a nice nightcap following a dinner smoke. The closest smoke I can compare it to is an Avo Classic simply because of the flavor dynamics. The Nub Connecticut 464 is much richer, however.
