Review Notes: Went to a cigar tasting and the Oliva rep talked me into trying a Cain 550. The cigar is rated as stronger but is so smooth being triple fermented I thought it was smoother than the Conneticut. Good smoke, great taste and did I say smooth? Looks beautiful in the box with really. No label to detract from it's beauty. Try one I think most medium mild guys would really love it.

"The Maduro is Better!"

Review Notes: Great Construction and appearance. This cigar burned for over 1 1/2 hours. I was smoking it easy and it never went out. I never had to touch this one up either. Razor sharp burn. I prefer the Maduro Wrapper for taste otherwise I would have given this a higher score.

Review Notes: The owner of a local cigar shop introduced this straight ligero as the "hottest thing" currently on the market due to it's recent release and success. So, along with my usual purchases I took one home. Very glad I did as it's now one of my favorite smokes. From it's appearance to flavor, this cigar is a must try. Didn't know it was an Oliva until recently, but should have known considering Oliva makes nothing but outstanding cigars!

"Pretty much to itself..."

Review Notes: This cigar is, perhaps, the only cigar I've ever seen that says it is all ligero. When I think of ligero I mostly think of La Flor Dominicana Double Ligero which is a very robust cigar. Some companies would use this term more as a marketing gimmick than a statement product so when I see the name Oliva combined with Sam Leccia I don't doubt for a minute this will end up being more of unique and high quality statement product than something less that is hyped with marketing bluster. So it is with great expectation that I held my first Cain Haban torpedo under the ample flame of my 3-burner Blue Rhino. Right away this stick lit up evenly and I got a nice burst of heady smoke. The flavor was really one of the smoothest strong sweet and spicy tastes I ever experienced. Not a bit of anything remotely bitter, maybe even somewhat floral and a little sweet cedar in there somewhere. This is one clean strong smoke as the finish is as pleasant as the smoke itself. The Oliva Cain Habano is a product I welcome. It will satisfy as a counterpoint to other strong cigars such as the less floral more earthy Cuban Partagas Series D and the mucho mocha with spice taste of the Padron 1964 Maduro Imperiale cigars that are two of my absolute favorites. About six or so years ago I had a Cupido cigar that was uniquely floral that hit a spot I recall I liked. I don't know what happened to that blend, but the La Carolina which supposedly repeated it did not have the same strenghth. The Cain is everybit as floral and pleasant while seemingly stronger in the front and clean in the finish. I can't recommend this enough. It is pretty much to itself currently in cigars I'm smoking and very enjoyable. Good job Sam, highly recommended
