Review Notes:I like a really good mild cigar, unfortunately my first experiences with the Oliva Conneticut Toro did not fit that bill. Sure it was attractive and often had a razor even burn, it was the flavor that was lacking. I had pretty much the same experience with the robusto. So when I was getting ready for a long backpacing trip into the alpine highlands of WV I threw one of these in my pack. When I finally smoked it the second night, I was surprised how tasty it was with a nip of gin. The only difference that I can discern was that this baby had been in the humidor for about a year. When I got back home I smoked one of the robustos that had been aging and it was quite good. Believing that age made the difference, I order a fiver to test this theory out. Will let you know in a year, but don't count this cigar out.

Review Notes:Started off bitter. This mostly went away after about 5 minutes, to be replaced by tastelessness. A little later on came an almost unnoticeable mild pleasantness, although still mostly tasteless. I am hoping some time in my humidor will make the others of the 5 pack I bought better, because this is an incredibly un-memorable smoking experience from one who does love good, mild cigars (such as Macanudo and Ashton). It would be more appropriate to put down nothing at all for taste than the 5 I will give it. It isn't that there is a bad taste, but simply almost none at all. There was a very, very slight mild pleasant nutty flavor which does increase as you get further into the cigar.

Review Notes:A real disappointment. Loosely packed, the cigar burns far too quickly and the draw is too loose. Muddled tobacco flavors of little distinction, that occasionally turn acrid. Normally I am a fan of Oliva cigars, particularly the V and O series, but this cigar was a mistake on their part.
Review Notes:Nothing special, and not as smooth as some of the other milds.

Review Notes:I smoked a CAO Gold the day before and the Oliva didn't compare. It wasn't bad, just not particularly interesting or flavorful. It almost went out several times in the middle and once the considerable ash (about 2 inches) fell off I discovered it had tunneled. On the up side it was smooth, well constructed and had a good draw. Price was similar to the CAO, so I'd opt for that.
