Review Notes: im realatively new to cigars so I bought two of these along with about a dozen others brands off of Cig. Aff. top 25 lists for '05 '06 and '07. After my first I started seaching online for box prices and the next day, after smoking the second I orderd a box. I absolutely love this cigar. Its not the most expenisive cigar Ive ever smoked, but I would take one over everything else. Wonderful aroma, perfect draw, great ash, a ton of great smoke, no harshness down to the nub. The square, box pressed shape threw me a bit at first, but once I handled it for a bit I actually like the box pressed shape. Definately give this cigar a shot. I also tried to Serie O and I prefer the G, based on some of the reviews here I ordered a five pack of the Serie G belicoso maduros... waiting for them to arrive

"Very nice, medium & complex"

Review Notes: Great looking stick, although I got mine from a friend and the wrapper was a bit banged up, looked fragile. Didn't affect the burn, though, so the construction held up well. Draw was near perfect. Pleasant aroma. Both sweet & spicy flavor, with a creamy/earthy finish. About midway I did notice a fruity citrus-like tang others mentioned. Overall a great smoke that I enjoyed.

"Not as good as the Belicoso Maduro"

Review Notes: I bought this one since I really like the other cigars in the G line that I have tried. The cigar looked nice and the dark cameroon wrapper felt great in my hand and smelled really nice. Draw was good, but I had to touch up the burn and it was uneven at different times, but always corrected itself. Cedar/woodsy flavors, with some perrep and spice. I did get an almost citrus hints from time to time... maybe the tangy taste others were commenting on. It did get bitter about an inch from the band. A good cigar, but the Maduro Belicoso is a better choice.

"Expectations Too High?"

Review Notes: Maybe I had too high of expectations for my first Oliva cigar. I'd heard good things about the Oliva brands and the cigars was so darn attractive when I bought them. The burn and ash were excellent, my only complaint was that the flavor didn't quite live up to the rest of the cigar or my expectations. I have to agree with "ToroTom" that it was a bit tangy. Not that tangy is a bad thing. Just overall this cigar had a good, but no where near great taste. I could see that another 6 months in the humidor might really help this stick, as it had only been aging 3 months when I smoked it. I also bought a fiver of the churchill, I think I'll let them rest a bit too.

"Smokes good, tastes good, costs good"

Review Notes: This pressed, brick-shaped cigar has a lightly toothy and oily wrapper. No. 11 in Cigar Aficionado's top 25 cigars of 2006. It smokes extremely well with a near perfect draw and burn forming solid ash. It's a pleasantly bright smoke that's cedary and spicy sweet; the flavor is not surprising for a Cameroon wrapped smoke, but still nice. For three bucks and change, you can't go wrong with these.
