Review Notes: Wow. Who would expect such an innocent looking cigar to be so bold. The first inch of this beauty was as perfect as it gets. Wads of smoke, delicious and aromatic. I needed a relight after an inch and it never smoked the same again. It tightened up after about 3-4 inches which is when it really slammed me. I've had other Serie V sizes but for some reason I wasn't expecting it from this apparently mild mannered cigar. To get this whammy though you need to get down to about 3" left or a bit more than 1/2 hour (this is about a 45 minute smoke). Cigar was fairly smooth throughout until it tightened up and I needed to work harder. I have a couple more and will let them sit awhile. Still, recommended.

Review Notes: My prediction is that Oliva will reaquaint the US cigar market with the lancero with this cigar. Wonderful construction, flawless burn, deep flavors, plenty of Vitamin N, and a great price. btw: Thanks to the staff at Corona Cigar in Orlando for a wonderful experience this week. Great store and helpful (also some attractive) staff. My 3 friends and I had a great time; I only wish we could have stayed longer.

Review Notes: I like the smaller ring gauge. The ligero wrapper provides a great taste of leather and spice. Flavor reminds me a lot of the Coronado by La Flor. Definitely a must try.

Review Notes: Can't let the review below go unanswered. My experience with the Lanceros is diametrically opposite. Just got a box, and so far a half dozen taken randomly have been superb. The burn and draw have been spot on. It's a peppery, full bodied smoke with lots of interesting sungrownish sweet notes. Smooths out about midway. Simply a luscious cigar.

Review Notes: Nice looking stick. The oily sheen gives an almost coppery tone to the wrapper. A slow starter. It was at the halway mark before it began taking on the complexity of its larger ringed brethren, the Doble Robusto and Torpedo. Burn wobbled but consistently self-corrected. I was expecting a concentrated powerhouse, but got an uneven performance. Not bad, but I'll be reaching for the other Serie V vitolas first.
