Review Notes:
I did not care for this cigar. I love all the other Oliva cigars, but this was very dry, boring, and one-dimensional.

Review Notes:
This is my third review of this cigar and the first from a new box and am happy to report that this time I had no issues with the wrapper splitting. As a matter of fact, the wrapper and overall construction was exemplary. Mellow, medium-bodied flavor profile with a creamy almost caramel taste and aroma. Firm but ample draw and a straight burn. A luxurious and sophisticated smoke that is now worth the price due to the improved wrapper leaf. I would recommend trying this one.

Review Notes:
Elegant and well made with the most fragile, thin wrapper money can buy. Nice burn and ash, but I have smoked about 6 out of the box and they all crack...the taste is medium and subtly sophisticated, but the wrapper issue takes a lot away from the experience. A creamy, mellow smoke with a decent burn and slightly tight draw. Had them in a very well seasoned cabinet style humi for no less than 4 months. Fix the wrapper issue and you have yourself a winner. Bought on the cheap @ C-Bid.

Review Notes:
Like everyone else says, the wrapper is fragile. The rest of the cigar suits my fancy. It has more flavor then the Serie O, and a bit more power. I personally don't think it's worth the money you pay, but everything about the cigar is top-notch. Woodsy / toasty flavor with a stronger peppery undertone then the Serie O.
Good smoke, but too rich for my blood.

Review Notes:
having tried just about all the other Oliva cigars (O classic, O Bold, G series, Master Blends, and Flor series), I can say the S series is not a whole lot different from say, their classic O line. In fact all Olivas seem to have about the same taste, it's sort of a prickly, medium to full bodied woody habano-tobacco like taste that weakens considerably to almost a mild smoke by the time you get 1/2 way down. Certainly not a very impressive cigar tastewise, and not worth anywhere near $8.
The construction is decent as is the case in most Olivas but I too experienced some of the cracking wrapper others here have noted. I thought maybe the 'dor was low on moisture but after hearing other people with the same problem, now I know it's the cigar and not my humidor.
All in all I am through buying Olivas; they just don't do anything for me. Throw in the fact that they're all overpriced (look at the cost of the new master blends), this cigar is alright and probably one of Oliva's best but the taste is just one I don't like. If you like their other cigars you will prob. like this one though.
