Review Notes: that was nearly 10 years ago... maybe they tasted good then (THEY BOUGHT THE RATING!) but now they're just dreadful... maybe if you like the taste of burnt wood you might like these, otherwise avoid...

Review Notes: I read through all of the reviews, and I was amazed at some of the responses. The only thing I can assume is that either they had a period of bad construction, or a periodic bad box, but I've had about 5 boxes of these, probably more than most reviewers, and in all of that, I've only had two that had issues. That's an impressive ratio, imho. I have some that I bought in 2003 stored in my humidor all this time, and these age well. They don't get tons better, as they're awfully good out of the box, but the full flavor these are known for evens out a bit. They're a full bodied smoke with a nice creamy chocolate and woody taste, exactly what I look for a cigar. They end with a bit of spice, like many cigars, and rarely disapoint. Often times the first few minutes has a strong coffee taste, unfortunately a bitter coffee taste. I'm primarily a natural smoker, but these are easily my favorite maduro on the market. Aged or out of the box, they're great. Perhaps I've gotten really lucky with the cigars I've gotten, but they always burn great, stay lit forever, taste great. The 94 these got is well deserved.

Review Notes: Im not sure where everyone else is getting there onyx from but i amil order mine by the box. This is probably my choice cigar. Its dark and full bodied. I have not had one yet with a poor draw or flat flavor. I took these to a super bowl party this past year and everyone enjoyed them very much. Maduros are usaully hit or miss from my experience. you either love them or hate them.

Review Notes: At the local cigar shop this past weekend I decided to purchase an Onyx, which I haven't had in a while. To much delight, it didn't disappoint. As with most Onyx sticks, it was medium bodied with nice constrution, and cool burn. During the 1 hour smoke at the cigar shop, the burn was perfect, and nice subtle flavors of cream, small notes of wood and spice throughout the burn. She finished with a hint of coffee.

Review Notes: I've had about half a box of the #2 Belicoso so far. THe look itself is beautiful,with a deep, dark wrapper, and I'm a sucker for the box press look anyway. These cigars are a little tight to draw on. The flavor seems to improve toward the middle, after a slow, somewhat flat/flavorless start, then finish well. Worth a try for anyone that likes maduros.
