Review Notes: While I don't understand all the ngative opinions on this cigar, I do understand that taste is subjective. I like this cigar very much for it's full body and sweetness. It has a very sweet finish as a maduro should, along with a pleasent spicyness. A premium cigar for a decent price.

Review Notes: the onyx toro is by far one of the best tasting maduros ive had! lots of chocolate and very nice taste. the only drawback was the draw was alittle tough. but i will be keeping these in my humidor at all times. great smoke!!

Review Notes: I just wanted to make a correction to the cigars' rating from my previous post....somehow I thought that 5 was the top rating....a definite brain freeze.

Review Notes: I smoked my first one of these just yesterday and was real happy with it, especially for the price. The cigar was constructed decently with some veins evident...but this is a look that I like in a cigar, similar to the look of the Fuente 858 Maduros. It smoked smoothly and burned evenly with a fairly substantial medium grey ash speckled with some black. The cigar produced plenty of creamy smoke. The first 3rd of the cigar was woodsey with a bit of spice and cocoa. The beginning of the second 3rd was about the same with just a bit more spiceyness. Near the end of the second 3rd there was definately notes of licorice detected which sweetened the smoke right up. This was a real surprise to me and immediately endeared me to this cigar as I'm particularly fond of sweet maduro's. The final third of the cigar contained all of the same notes but came on a bit stronger with some pepper joining the mix. I smoked this cigar rigtht down to the nub and enjoyed every bit of it.....it was about a one hour smoke. This cigar is comparable to the Fuentes 858's and the Partagas Maduro Toro's, and for about $1 less per stick.
