Review Notes: I think what Onyx really had going for it's Reserve series is its appearance. Its got a dark, oily black wrapper that definitely adds a distinctive look and flavor to the smoking experience. I found the taste boring. It was neither good nor bad, which isn't a point you want to ever reach when you pay good money for a smoke. While this isn't over priced by a long shot (and there are some manufacturers that will sell you the same kind of cigar for double the price), I think that you could find something with a more interesting flavor for the same about of money. Draw has been inconsistent and often poor for the several that I have smoked. Flavor has tasted woody and ashy. It's a good beginners cigar, but for those of us that have a more refined taste, you'll be utterly bored with this cigar. Try it and see if you like it, but buy a single, not a box.

Review Notes: This pressed cigar has a dark, dry wrapper. The burn is decent and a firm draw produces a nice amount of smoke with a perfumy aroma. This cigar is much milder than it looks with some chocolate or coffee flavors and a slight vegetal taste; it doesn't taste horrible but it seems a little weak. An OK smoke since these can be had on the cheap.

Review Notes: When removed from the wrapper it was attractive but unremarkable. Certainly nothing to swoon over. The aroma was surprisingly mild. Fired up with a Zippo and it smoked pretty smooth from the get go. Burned consistantly with a medium amount of smoke. Pleasent and enjoyable. Can't honestly say it's on the top of my list but it certainly a bad smoke. It cut very well and burned nicely

Review Notes: This cigar had great construction. It burned well, felt great, and the ash held together for a pretty long time. Ash was a dark white/gray. Taste was a mix of earthy, woody, peppery, a little spicy for a bit, and some chocolate. Finish was very good. Highly recommended.

Review Notes: The first taste is rich and earthy, similar to but not quite as bold as the Romeo y Julieta Reserve Maduro. The earth blends in well with the sweetness of the maduro. It gets woodier and takes on a little pepper at the half-way point. The funky overtones give way to bittersweet chocolate, and this flavor pretty much takes it to the finale. It’s a little salty on the tongue, and the aroma is very cedary and at times even floral. The only real drawback is a bitter aftertaste. The construction on this stick was perfect. A great medium bodied cigar, in the same class as the Romeo y Julieta Reserve Maduro and K. Hansotia’s Signature 101, but better.
