Review Notes: what a cigar, I haven't had a cigar like this in a while and I mostly smoke top end smokes, the flavors, burn and construction are all top notch and if I had to complain about anything it would only be the price and that the cigar eventually ends, everyone should at least try one of these, I can see how C.A. rated it a 95 in the cigars of the year.

Review Notes: Cigar tastes vary. Period. I like this - you like that; similar to food tastes I suppose. Yet, given the five available categories, any Opus X must start with at least two 9s (appearance and construction). While I consider all Opus X to be a 10 in these categories (give the number of them I've smoked compared to other major cigars) - the least they could score would be a 9. Period. They are all beautiful and their construction is second to none (not even a Padron). As for flavor, value and overall smoking experience - I agree that opinions will vary. Flavor: smooth and full bodied. Complex flavors that changed throughout the smoke. Among my favorite Opus X. Value: Good value for the quality. Overall smoking experience: Among the finest. Period. I just can't see rating any Opus below an 8 on average (maybe a 7? if you really didn't like the flavor at all). This is just NOT an average cigar.

"Nothing special..."

Review Notes: I had purchased a few of these about 8 months ago, I smoked a couple with a friend when I originally got them and was not impressed. So I decided to drop the others into the humidor and give them some time. Well time has passed and here we are again with the same results. Its well built, good smoke, but lackluster flavor. Its almost to say extremely boring, no changes from the beginning to the end. Some may like these, but not for me.

"Niccccce Smoke!!"

Review Notes: I purchased 10 Double Coronas and Five Perfection A, prior to moving form SC to TX. This cigar was strongly recommended by a riend. After nearly a year in my humidor, I figured I'd give one a try. On my budget, the stick was meant to be an occassional treat, I ended up smoking one a week for a month straight. (I normally light up one to two sticks a month.) I thoroughly enjoyed the transition of flavor, the waft and aroma of the smoke as well as the the way it complimented my favorite drink (Crown Special Reserve). The smokes were consistent in both construction and flavor. I personally think these are very good smokes. Nothing ever lives up to the marketing hype, but these smokes come close enough to satisfy my taste.

"A powerhouse smoke"

Review Notes: I love these cigars but I can't find the patience to let them age. The pre-light flavor is typical Opus X, strong berry and fruit taste. Once lit, this cigar's profile changes completely. It becomes spicy with with a dark chocolate overtone. A couple words of advice: let them age, don't smoke it on an empty stomach and don't smoke anything else before you smoke this stick. Definitely a special occasion cigar.
