Review Notes: This cigar was fine except for the buzz I got. Maybe it was me having a rough day. I thought this cigar would help but I was a bit disappointed.

Review Notes: ok ok, the label is sweet looking. I give it that. BUT the only set back I had with this cigar was... 1) uneven burn-- for 15 bucks you can get it to burn evenly. 2) half stick finish--yeah i said it...half way through this...it went out and would NOT relight to save its life. my opnion...grab an arturo fuente and shut up about the "wonderfulness of the opus"

Review Notes: My first ever Opus X and it was worth the wait. Aged this cigar about another 10 months after receiving it from a friend. Excellent construction and scent before lighting. Burnt fairly well with a dark grey ash. Change in tastes from some spice at the beginning to smooth mid way and ending strong. The last half is where this became very much like a Cuban, and lived up to the brand hype. Had to sit for awhile afterward and really catch my breath. I real power house of a smoke.

Review Notes: Great looking cigar, with an easy draw. A stronger odor than many NCs, it looked like a winner. A quick correction was needed right off the get-go, but that was the only one I would make. Tons of smoke, which started out a bit spicy but turned more creamy with a hint of sweetness I can't put my finger on. It is NOTHING like I expected, much less potent than I had read early on. Not a speck of ash falls off in the first third. The cigar seems to change every couple of draws, from a pleasant pepper on one draw to that creamy, very slightly sweet draws after that. The cigar is just delicous, and I was anticipating not liking it from all I had read. I still can't accurately describe the sweet creamy flavor, but the closest I can come is...butterscotch? The ash doesn't fall off until the smoke is over half done. I am starting to get a little euphoric nicotine buzz as well, nothing unpleasant though, The same swing between the two flavors goes on....the spicy pepper is not too spicy, very nice like the LAdC pepper....the sweetness is not too sweet, just a hint as I release. Do feel that buzz when I stand up though.... was extremely suprised, pleasantly, by this cigar. At the price, I can't smoke them all the the time, but I can see putting a few of these in the humi for special nights...Definitely one of the best NCs I have had...actually, one of the best cigars period. I am now a believer.

Review Notes: This Fuente Fuente came from the most recent release of Opus. The construction on this cigar was perfect with a flawless oily Colorado wrapper. The pre-light aroma was unreal with scents of raisins, brown sugar and sweet spicy tobacco. The flavors on this stick were unreal one of the most complex Opus I have smoked. The sweet tobacco spice gave way to flavors of raisins, plums, with creamy tangy overtones at times. The last half turned into a black pepper spice with almost a dried fruit and had raspberry flavors to it. The tobacco used for this cigar was very well aged and I never got that raw sometimes overpowering character associated with fresh opus. This cigar was smooth and refined all the way through and easily was the best regular release Opus X I have had in the last 5 years.
