Review Notes: This cigar actually gave a new definition to bad cigar in my mind. It had a woody and spicy core which made you feel like you were pouring jalapeño juice on your tongue from the start. Then towards the middle it became very harsh, and stayed that way until I couldn’t bear it any longer and had to put the thing out. The ash was nasty and flakey and it split right down the middle as I was smoking it. It burned extremely uneven and I had to keep relighting it to try and keep it even. The wrapper seemed a little spotty and not as appealing as many of the other Opus’s I have seen. The smoke was nice and thick, but the flavors never developed so it was just hot and then gross. The draw was also relatively tight through out the entire cigar Many people warned me that the Opus X was an overrated cigar, but nothing anybody could have said would have prepared me for one of the worst cigars I have ever smoked. Now I really feel sorry for those people who paid thirty bucks for this cigar. Next time somebody offers me one of these I might be tempted to see if anyone has some Swisher Sweets instead.

Review Notes: opus robusto:this is above average dominican product.construction is good,some burn problems and white flaky ash which personally drives me crazy,i hate flaky ash.these sticks are fruity with good stronger finish and excellent draw,zero complexity,basically same taste all the way but its pretty good but not worth 20$ per stick.the only better dominican cigars that i had are fuente anejo 55 and davidoff millenium lonsdale.i was not impressed at all with these and actually very dissapointed,someone left a review saying that these are better than cuban cohiba robusto,i say they are not even close to cohiba,they are not even on the same planet,they are dog rackets comparing to cohibas.i dont understand the hype.i would never trade 10 cohibas for 30 of this,no way.imho the only best thing about them is prelight smell of these sticks,that is the best smelling cigar i ever smelled,like honey ginger bread or something close it,heavenly.i wish all cigars could smell as good as opus x robusto.

Review Notes: This is consistently one of my top 10 favorites, blows away many similar cubans out there. Awesome appearance all the way down to the band, very nice pre-smoke aroma, superb creamy spicey woody flavors, rarely needs a relight & you can count on Opus X's to get you buzzin! I know these can be priced a little high, but really an excellent smoke that never disapoints!

Review Notes: After 5 years of smoking cigars I finally went out and bought one of these suckers to see what all the hype has been about. I have to say that the appearance of this cigar was just awesome. Paid the $14 at my local cigar shop. Went home and lit this bad boy up. The flavors of this cigar were superb. I have never tasted a cigar like this. It was very creamy and spicy throughout. It burned evenly and never went out. The draw was definitely a bit tight. Well, I was finally able to smoke one of these but I am scratching my head over the price. Overall it was definitely a great smoke!! Unfortunately for the price this one will have to be one of those special occasion smokes once or twice a year.

Review Notes: The only real knock I had on this in my earlier review was price. They have lost demand with other nice maddies hitting the market. NOW there are starting to look even better. Try one, you will like it! If you keep them in a humidor for long, try 65% instead of 70% or they will get too moist.
