Review Notes:
I decided 4 weeks was long enough to give this one a second try. As I said in my first review I was not impressed with the first one. Okay here we go. Spicy, peppery start yielding quickly to cream, light spice and cedar. A very white, flaky ash that holds for about an inch. A much better experience the second time around. I purged it when it tunneled about halfway and the flavors picked up in the second half. I noted a sweetness and cinnamon. It is mostly light to medium but will sneak up on you in the last third. The finish is clean and enjoyable. A good cigar, though not an Edicion Especial in my opinion.

Review Notes:
The Obsidian is the best. The Achilles pales by comparison. Medium smoke. Great construction. Lots of smoke. A very good cigar. Expectations set by the Obsidian are not met by this one. Still recommend you try them as a good value for a decent cigar.

Review Notes:
First of 18 on two days rest. The wrapper is very delicate and separated immediately just below the cap, then in the middle. The creaminess is there, but the flavor is weak for the first couple of inches. I patched the split and waited for the flavor I read about. OK, there's about 2 1/2" of this thing left and still not much flavor. The end is here, bringing very little with it. I'll rest them a month or so and we'll see.

Review Notes:
I think it was the CI website that called this one "sneaky strong." A very accurate account, as it turns out. It starts slowly, with a basic creaminess and mild nuttiness I associate with a CT shade smoke. I also detected some slightly green flavors, and prepared myself for disappointment. But that greenness dissipates quickly. Then it picks up a serious head of steam in the second half. By the end, it is extraordinarily rich, with pronounced nuttiness and a touch of leather, while never losing its smoothness. The last third is stellar. It really does sneak up on you. Construction, BTW, is phenomenal. I put a bad light on the first one I smoked (that's what I get for trying to spark it in 30mph winds), and it corrected itself quickly. The easy draw produces a heap of smoke. And with a C-bid price around $3 a pop, I couldn't possibly have too many of these. Fill your humidor.

Review Notes:
I, like the previous reviewer got the same deal from CI. These are great cigars especially after a long day at work. I thought they were just okay when I smoked one right out of the box. After a month of resting, the flavor profile changes to creamy with that distinctive Corojo flavor towards the end. A nice medium to full-bodied smoke.
