Review Notes: I have the belicoso and corona sizes in the 8/11. I like the larger ring size, but I have to say that this corona is very very good. Contruction is fine and taste is nicely complex and subtle, nothing overpowering. Solid smoke

"Construction problems..."

Review Notes: Tasted while still young, this cigar smelled awesome prelight...but didn't follow up with anything remotely resembling the excellence of other reviewer's samples. It started out medium+ in body with a nice earthy tone with a bit too much nicaraguan twang to be called cubanesque. At about 1 inch in it developed a decidedly stale cigarette smoke flavor that tainted the flavor until halfway through. I've noted this with some other Padillas from the regular line, maybe someone was smoking while they rolled this one. Otherwise good touches of oak and leather over an earthy core would have made this excellent. I'll re-review in the hopes that this was just a bum stick.

"My first Padilla..looks like I will again"

Review Notes: The cigar had some veins but overall it was a nice looking stick. The smoke started out like a sweet cedar....very nice. The burn was off until the 1/2 way point. I also had a tough time with the draw from the 1/4 to the 3/4. It opened up into a pretty strong smoke...I really wasn't expecting it to be that way...nice surprise....will certainly try again.

Review Notes: To sume it up in a word. This one very well made smoke and very flavorful to boot. The construction is very good almost flawless with a perfect burn. The flavors however are great. Its is very creamy with leather and lots of spice on the finish. Just the right amount of spice of me. Ioved the smoke I have got to get more.

"Fine flavor, Superb aroma, Iffy construction"

Review Notes: The wrapper is a smooth dry natural color with maybe a touch of colorado. The prelight scent is not as spicy as I expected ó simple sweet tobacco with an overtone of cedar. Construction on these is a little bit questionable, just because they all seem to be rolled pretty tight. On the other hand, these are some of the best tasting, most flavorful and complex cigars Iíve experienced from Don Pepin. They start out with Pepinís trademark peppery prelude and slowly grow into a powerful smoke with a woody foundation. The aroma is the best that corojo has to offer ó a sweet, lightly spiced caramel that starts out with some edges but then mellows after an inch or so and shows up some cocoa and coffee bean. Full bodied and complex. A really top notch smoke, construction issues aside.
