Review Notes: This baby was a gift in two ways...one, it was given to me last November. Two, it was freakin awesome. Wrapper appearance was not anything special but nothing to complain about. Construction was perfect and the flavor rivaled some of my better smokes that have 3+ years of box age on them. I can't believe how much depth there was to this. I would say med-full, no bite, with a leathery and earthy core and a variety of other tastes that come and go. I can't say enough about this stick...

"My favorite Padilla so far"

Review Notes: This cigar looked great and the construction was perfect as well. The draw was effortless and the burn was even the whole way down allowing a nice long ash. A few of the other Padilla cigars I have tried were just too mellow and mild for me and lacked and real flavor. This one started out mild and I thought... no, not another one. however, after an inch, the flavor really opened up and was more of a medium bodied cigar. Flavors of sweet nuts and wood, with some hints of cream and spice. Packed a really nice finish. Starts off slow, but man is the rest of the cigar and finish well worth the wait.

"So-So"

Review Notes: This cigar just doesn't do it for me. I'm a big fan of the 1932 and the Miami 8&11, especially the 8&11. Both of those are made for Padila by Pepin Garcia, and I think that really makes a difference. The appearance and construction of this cigar were fine. I didn't experience any of the burn issues reported by others, but the taste left something to be desired. I also found this cigar to be pretty mild when compared to the 1932 and Miami. The ash was very dark which also turned me off. The price was right on cbid, but I probably won't buy these again.

"Great flavor but slightly flawed"

Review Notes: I just nubbed mine. Man was this a tasty smoke. I agree with the flavor notes of the other reviewers. About one third in the flavor really opened up and was so tasty I couldn't put it down. It's similar to the Gran Habano 3 Siglos line. But...I was constantly fighting with the burn, and was touching it up with the torch every five minutes. This took away from the overall enjoyment, but I recommend it based on flavor alone.

"Serious construction issues"

Review Notes: A delicious blend with suspect construction. I've had three (of two 5-packs) so far. The first two were hopelessly plugged. Had to pitch them both. The third drew fine but the burn was unruly. However, if they could get the construction issue ironed out, they'd have a monster smoke here. Starts nutty and rich with a hint of molasses. Develops a distinct macaroon flavor on the second half. And I'm not talking "a hint" of macaroon; I mean full-on, lip smacking and slightly sweet. So I'll see how the last seven of work out. I'm hoping for the best because this blend is outstanding. Not sure what to say about the value. At auction pricing with a proper draw, it's a 9. But based on the three I've smoked so far, it's average at best.
