Review Notes:
Looks great, constuction seems fine. Thats where to good comments end. I knew when i cut the head it wasn't going to be a good smoke. The draw was like a straw. Taste was none existant. I would've rather had a mass produced machine rolled cigar, yea really. I think I pay 1.80 for these, that was too much. In there defense they seem dry, so I will let them rest, but not in the good humie.

Review Notes:
I have to disagree with most of the reviews here. It's a shame this one's made by Padilla. If it weren't for the band, I'd think it was a second or house brand - very loose roll and tastes like a cheap bundle smoke. Padilla is in my top 5 and I've had nearly all the different lines (1932, 1968, 1948, Miami 8/11) and enjoy all of them except for the Obsidian (always tunnels, but that's for another review). This hybrid has a very thin wrapper and all it takes is a nick or crack and it starts to unravell and disintegrate. Flavors were harsh, bitter, and sharp with a way too loose draw that burned uneven. The weird part is that the after-taste is pretty good - creamy, woody, nutty, with a bid of cofee. Too bad it didn't taste like that when I was actually smoking it! :( These are the cheapest of the Padilla lines and I can see why. To be fair in reviewing this, I smoked one from a fiver I got back in Sept. '07 and didn't like it so let it sleep and had one every couple of months. Just had the last one today and they were all the same...bleh. Even if this were a buck-a-stick smoke, it isn't worth it.

Review Notes:
This was my first Padilla and it won't be the last, as I liked the flavor and it had an impressive burn. If this is supposed to be part natural and part maduro, I found it to be more natural which was fine with me. The flavor is hard to describe, but the best I can do is say it had some sweetness and was a little tangy. It got stronger at the finish. These can be had cheap on Cbid. This stick was only in the humidor 2-3 months, can't wait to taste what it might morph into by next Fall.

Review Notes:
Other than a wayward burn and tight draw in the beginning, this cigar was pretty good. Opened very smooth, almost sweet. 1/3 to 1/2 was kind of harsh but cleaned up at the halfway point. Too much glue on the band! Lost some wrapper removing it. These won't change your life, but they're a good cheap way to spend half an hour. May get better with some more time in the humi to mellow.

Review Notes:
Burned even, good draw. Smoke had a toasty flavor profile I find appealing. The last third intensified with some spiciness coming through as well as a creamy character. Sometimes I find I've reached the max amount of satisfaction at the last third and quit at that point. Not so with this guy. It kept me interested the whole length.
