Review Notes:My second one from a box I bought in June. These will be special occasion cigars as they are too expensive for day to day on my budget. The only thing special about today is the weather. The pre-light draw was woody with a perfect resistance. Great burn with lots of smoke. I really like the size, the box-pressed shape, and the firm feel of this cigar. The initial flavor is perhaps slightly on the earthy side with some nutty notes too. Later some spice that carries some sweetness if you're really paying attention. And this is a cigar that deserves your full attention. It starts medium bodied then builds to all I could ask for from this shape. A very satisfying experience. The earthy spicy flavor dominates the second half. While the flavor was not my preference, there's nothing negative to say about this cigar.

Review Notes:I just wasn't blown away. I don't know why, but the flavors, although very good, weren't intense enough for me. The usual padron flavors of cocoa, coffee and nuts were there along with some leathery notes and a little spice, but smoother, more complex, and more refined than the regular padron line. The aroma was like coffee with floral tones, but again, toned down and a little too subtle for my taste. The burn needed several corrections -a first for me with this line- but was consistent with a perfect draw. Overall, a terrific smoke, but I don't know if the price is justified for me. It might have been the San Cristobal de la Habana Muralla I smoked 2 hours prior, but this cigar just didn't blow me away like I thought it would. I rated this particular cigar at 79 points, but the line usually gets 85+.

Review Notes:Most people are interested in the maduro 64's. I think those miss out on one of the complex sticks on the market today. Also considering the PANs are cheaper than the PAMs should give one the desire to try these first. Love the leathery notes that work with the nuts to tickle the pallet. I never have draw problems nor burn issues, and this experience was no difference. Would recommend to anyone!
