Review Notes:
After having smoked countless #'s of 64's, I decided to review this line. I picked the Principe because it is all I have time to burn anymore. I feel those who do not appreciate this line do not fully understand NIC leaf and NIC puros. NIC tobacco yields one of two flavors, dependent on where it is grown: pepper, like the JDN Antano, or cocoa/coffee/leather, like the Padron. It has a tendency to be one dimensional, but extremely consistent and pronounced in it's flavor. If you are looking for changes during the burn in flavor, look toward multi-nation blends. If you are looking for great construction, draw, burn, and that cocoa/coffee/leather/hazelnut profile, and a smoothness that can only be achieved through aged leaf, look no further. As for the price, I agree that hype has hurt the pricing, but what top tier stick has not been hurt by hype? This petit corona, though, burns much longer then many would expect. They burn on an average from 35 minutes herfing, to 1 hour and 15 minutes relaxed, as a result of the press. So you do not feel as bad about the price as a stick that would be gone in 20 minutes.

Review Notes:
I prefer the larger cigars in this line. That being said if the price is right its a great cigar. Doesn't seem to be as complex as the larger smokes in this line but still a nice smoke. The 64's are my favorite Anni's. Coffee and chocolate, quite earthy, burn and draw exceptional. Have smoked quite a few of these over the years and have never been left down. Padron consistancy is difficult to beat.

Review Notes:
this is a decent cigar, but I'm sorry folks I don't see where all the amazing reviews come from. I am not a big fan of the regular Padron lines and I figured the 1964 wouldn't be a lot different and it isn't. The thing about Padrons is that they pretty much taste like coffee--now that's great if you like coffee, but if you don't like me, then you probably won't like them too much.
Given all that this is still a solid cigar--medium to full bodied, has nice coffee tastes and some cedar and leather to it. It had virtually no pre-light bouquet which is always a bad sign though, however there is still some decent flavor. Wrapper is uneventful and nothing to remember it by. I'm not a big fan of box-pressed cigars, they feel awkward in your mouth (the mouth is round, not sqaure).
Flavor pretty much peters out after about 1/2 way down. Burn and construction are great though. It was stored fine so I don't think there's any issues there that might have marred my opinions.
I'm sorry to say it but this cigar is in my opinion not worth anywhere near what it goes for; there's a lot better out there for less. I'd smoke an LFD anyday over this. Actually there's maybe 30 other brands I'd rather smoke before this. Going to try the 1926 soon so we'll see on that one...
Still a decent cigar though. Just not interesting enough for me to buy again.

Review Notes:
Absolute nobody comes close to the over all satisfaction of the Padron 1964 product. I do not get these guys winning about the extra cost when it comes through in the product quality. This is the best of the best period. Thirty minutes to enjoy perfectly boxed pressed construction, a flawless wrapper, draw and flavor at it’s very finest. This one is not for you Swisher Sweets boys …

Review Notes:
A real treat! This attractive box-pressed stick is robed in a luscious maduro wrapper with virtually imperceptible veins. Solid construction without soft spots. Easy light. Smooth draw. Even burn without the need for relights or corrections. White-gray ash. Started with pepper and spice. The first third had a more milder, smoother pepper/spice beginning, along with notes of charred game, cocoa, and cedar. The middle third brought flavors of chocolate and wood. In the last third, I detected cinammon, toffee, nuts, sweet wood, and a mild menthol flavor towards the end. All in all, this 40 minute medium-to-full bodied smoke was delightfully complex and was a true pleasure to smoke. I am continually impressed by the Padron Anniversary lines, and believe that these are sticks that, indeed, are worth the hype and the money.
