Review Notes:
On a trip to Miami today I decided to stop by Padrons world headquarters. As the 1964's are hard to find in my hometown I decided to pick up a box of these as they are one of the sizes I haven't tasted. As soon as I was outside I lit one up. The construction on this is great as with all the smokes in this line. Nice dark oily wrapper. The scent is of coffee and coco. The burn is very even with a nice white ash and a bit of a toothy look. The taste is spicy at first with a bit of a pepperish taste, slowly maturing into a dark chocolate with hint of coffee until picking up a spicy taste towards the end. The size of this cigar doesn't lend itself to a long finish but still was great. I was lucky enough to find a box of these for cheap so I am looking forward to letting some age and see what comes out.

Review Notes:
Although I prefer the Monarca Maduro more, this was a very good and somewhat less expensive smoke. It had a pretty strong toasty start, and mellowed to a medium cocoa tone with alternating earthy and slight maduro flavors with a few hard hits of good spice. I think I actually did burn my normally immune fingertips with this one. At $7.25 from my local Padron aficionado store it's a pretty good deal.

Review Notes:
Nicely pressed and rich in color, this is an attractive small cigar. It burns evenly and the draw is excellent, producing lots of aromatic smoke. Has smooth, balanced, and complex flavors of dark chocolate, nuts and spice; compared to the natural version this one is more chocolatey and has a chewier taste. The finish is still a bit short though compared to the bigger sizes. Sure, it may cost 2X as much as other cigars, but it's more than 2X better. The cigars in this line are famous for their consistency, and this one is no exception.

Review Notes:
If given a choice, I generally prefer a maduro over the standard lines of any cigar, and the Principe maduro has reaffirmed my taste. I thoroughly enjoyed the standard Principe, but the maduro version steps this superb cigar up a notch. From the beautiful box pressed construction, and the suede wrapper, to the draw and flavor, this stick redefines the concept of a good cigar. They’re pricy, and a bit hard to find, but what a treat when you do. The refined character and subtle nuances lead this cigar gracefully into the top tier of all time best cigars. The Principe M is well behaved, and the flavors were balanced and elegant. Because of the price, these will never be a staple in my humi, but I’ll always keep a few on hand to look forward to.

Review Notes:
Unfortunately, I paid $8.50 for this one and I think that's too much. Plenty of barnyard and earth in this one. Unlike other 1964's I've had, this one left a little burn in my throat. All in all, a spicy little treat, but overpriced for sure.
