Review Notes: Overhyped? Yes. Deserving of CA's #1 rating for 2004? No. A damn good cigar - definitely. This attractive perfectly box pressed stick is wrapped in a lush maduro wrapper with minimal veins. Hefty in the hand, the construction was superb without any soft spots. Easy light. Super smooth draw. Razor sharp burn without the need for relights or corrections. White-gray ash. Started with spice and wood. The first third held notes of chocolate, cinammon, cocoa, wood, menthol, and sweet warm leather. The smoothness increased in the middle third and brought a toasted tobacco flavor with whispers of herbal and floral qualities. The sweet leather notes continued to dance in and out. In the last third, I detected some vanilla and a mild tanginess - noticeable, but still pleasant. All in all, this one hour 10 minute smoke was an extraordinarily complex, medium-to-full bodied, smooth smoke with incredible construction. The B&M price was $26, but it he gifted it to me, which may have made it taste even better! Regardless, it is a damn good cigar. For that coin, however, there are better values. A nice treat.

Review Notes: I love Padron cigars!I also just met Jorge prior to buying this stick.What nice and humble guy,he prob. would have replaced it for me. It was totally plugged. what a letdown.

Review Notes: I don't smoke the Padron 1926 40th Anniversary Maduro Torpedo everyday or every week or every month. In fact I have smoked it 3 times in my life and I can't get this smoke out of my mind. This smoke was smooth, with a rich flavor that grows with each puff. Padron really understands their cigar customer and this cigar is at the pinnacle of cigars. Forget the price and think of the experience you get from this great cigar. It is an opulent gift to yourself that will always bring a rush to your mind like the 1st time you rip up the road in a Porsche or a Corvette Z06. This smoke spoils you the way a top of the line cigar should. I couldn't find a downside to it other than when you are done smoking it you want another but realize that money doesn't grow on a tree.

Review Notes: Immaculate in every way. Construction is flawless. Flavor profile is complex but not overly spicy. Perfect, efficient draw. Cumulo Nimbus clouds of smoke...and the perfect companion to my Hennessy XO. When you light it up, you know you are smoking a very special cigar... This is quite simply one of the finest sticks on the planet...and I am seeing "hmmm...maybe" and "average" ratings. Sounds like some folks have an axe to grind. The price of a cigar would never influence your rating...if you don't have the cash, don't smoke em. Thats like buying a Rolls and blaming the car for being broke...it ain't the car's fault.

Review Notes: Sorry but I couldn't find the wow in this stick. Nice, mellow over all but it just didn't grab me. I'd rather have a standard Padron churchill any day.
