Review Notes: I've seen a lot of reviews bashing this cigar. I've had three of them and have few more sitting at home. I really don't understand the reviews saying this cigar lacks flavor. It tastes nearly the same as the 26 line, and the size and construction make it the best of their line. I guess if people are paying $50 a piece for this, I can see the issues. For me, there is no way that you can find any cigars ouside of Cuba for under $20 a stick that compare with this. The other tasters who have written rave reviews have summed up the positives, but I just wanted to address some of the negative reviews that I have seen here. In fact for my money, I'd take this over most Cuban Cohibas.

Review Notes: Truly a remarkably crafted cigar, but just as truly an unremarkably flavored smoke. This cigar was perfectly rolled and pressed, leading to a flawless draw, but the flavor was not any more noteworthy than your average $6.00 dollar smoke. In fact, Padron's regular line has a much better flavor profile. This 40th anniversary cigar had some nice flavors, but it had some strange notes at times - often alfalfa or clover. Overall, it was very mediocre in taste. (No, it was not a counterfeit - I bought it at a very reputable cigar shop). While I appreciate the craftsmanship of this smoke, I expect second-to-none flavor from a $30.00 dollar cigar. Considering I could name dozens of cigars that taste better, I am left extremely disappointed.

Review Notes: Please believe me when I say that this stick is immaculately crafted. Set next to another stogie, it's night and day. Perfect draw and ash, but just average when it comes to flavor and complexity. Easily nubbed and easily forgotten, except for being able to make the statement, "I've had a Padron 40th Anniv." Unfortunately, I won't be forking over the cash to try another in hopes my first was a fluke.

Review Notes: Take the band off and sit it next to any other cigar on the market and anyone would grab it. Once you light it up it's just another good smoke. Great draw, perfect ash, easily nubbed, but just average when it comes to flavor. I wish I could say that I got a less than par stick, but I couldn't bring myself to coughing up the cash to try another. I can say that I have the band to prove I actually partook of one of the most touted cigars to be made today. That at least says something for Padron's marketing and advertising plan.

Review Notes: I've only smoked two of these, three more are siting in my humidor, But I found it to be a very enjoyable smoking expierience. Great appearance, and lots of flavor! A bit pricey though.
