Review Notes: Flawless burn, draw and construction. Sweet, dark wrapper. Very strong and rich. Started with subtle spice on top of coffee, cocao and semi sweetness and progressed into strong expresso flavor. Even though this is a great cigar, I preferred the flavor profile a little more with the 80 years maduro and the #6 maduro, both of which had a more complex and richer flavor profile. Still, I have never had a less than stellar experience with any of the Padron 1926 or 1964 maduros. This line is the standard by which all others should be measured in my opinion.

 Review Notes: My second one of these had it sit in the humidor over a year it was excellent like the first one! perfect construction and draw nothing to complain about at all its hard to find a cigar better than this one.

 Review Notes: I was reading all about this one and decided to give it a try and so glad I did, First this is an expensive cigar but then again what isn't that is any good. Many of the negative reviews are more negitive because of the price and not really the cigar. It had plenty of taste and cant wait to spark the next one.

 Review Notes: I hate to say it. Perfect construction, spicy blend with subtle chocolate undertones but almost no progression. It was a unidimensional cigar with a great burn, but that's it. I was sorely disappointed as my expectations were high. I think the padron exclusivo maduro is much better than this. It was a flat experience and I don't really want anymore of these. I had saved it for a couple of years now.

 Review Notes: I think that all the '26 line (that I've smoked!) are best-of-class cigars, all of 'em are put together with care and with extraordinary tobacco. Each cigar in the '26 line also tastes different and is a distinct experience. The 40th Anniversary starts off spicy and strong -- like the other stogies in this line -- but, about halfway through, you notice: it's a really smooth-flavored cigar. Mild? No. Nothing mild about this cigar. Even unlit it packs a punch to the nostrils. This is a complex and full smooth-flavor, brick-solid good-drawing severe-box-press put-someone's-eye-out-stout-with-the-pointy-end torpedo that smokes more smoothly than any other cigar in the '26 lineup. There's no "supr-savr-value" here, just as the $50 steak is never a bargin, but "Value" is not the point here. You spend the $$ to get a cigar that is an experience and not a smoke, and that's exactly what you get. More than other cigars in this line, it'd be perfect for a beginner -- knocks their socks off at the start but mellows in to a pretty laid-back smoke.
