Review Notes:Only the most patient and nurturing of growers can do what Padron has done with this cigar. Only somebody who really takes the time to understand a cigar's potential can then coax it into its fullest expression. Padron's No 2 Maduro flavors are haunting and brilliant and thrilling and subtle and ancient.

Review Notes:One of the most complete cigars ive smoke , even comstruction was right on whcih is unusual in some of the top shelf stick ( Tatuaje comes to mind) but everythin from the look with the goosebumps on the leaf and ash , to the almost overwelming spice when in the sinuses , to the creamy finish . this cigar is a champ.

Review Notes:The 1964 Anniversary is one of the world's works of art. The 1926 is a much stronger, fuller bodied, fuller flavored version, for the seriously addicted among us. Not for the week kneed, but a truly great smoke if you like complexity, elegance, wonderful taste that sticks with you for hours. Pricey? Of course; the bands alone cost more than some cheap stogies, but these gifts of the gods are worth every penny. Luckily, I generally get them free from a client, but that has nothing to do with this rating, trust me. I also buy them when I have to.

Review Notes:I picked up a box of these at the first of the year and have been sweating bullets of patience; for which I have been greatly rewarded. I want to start with a "Price is subjective" thought. The box cost me $384 or $16 a stick. I'm not a wealthy guy (at all) and this was a major purchase for me; but it is what it is, and what it is...is worth it. My palate loves a NIC puro and this is a masterpiece of cigar art in every way. Everything you expect with deep layers of earth, spice and whatever you call the core flavor of Nicaraguan tobacco. Tremendous depth and complexity that I can't wait to taste 6-8 years from now. Beautiful to look at and as always, perfect construction. I gladly pay $16 for such a memorable experience that I know will get better and better as the box ages for the next few years. Keep your $30-$50 dollar-a-stick Cohiba's and Opus' and I'll keep hoarding these when I can. Come on tax return!
