Review Notes: I had my first one (a 2) about a week ago, and loved that one. Prior to lighting it I was wandering if I'd be experiencing a let down; Not Even Close. Truly a magnificant smoke. Great Burn and Draw; and the taste is amazing: Cocca, Coffee, and a very unique "earthy tone" that I just can't find words for. I bought the 1926 sampler from an online vendor, and now I think I'll pick up a couple more.

Review Notes: Had this guy resting for almost two years. Turned 30 so guess it was a good time, and I needed a relatively quicker smoke. Paired it with Blue Label and had a very nice experience. Perfect burn and draw at this size. The core flavor is grounded in earth and leather, but balanced perfectly between with a slight sweetness that was very unique.

    Review Title: Padron vs. Cuba

Review Notes: To compare this cigar to any Cuban is doing Cubans and Padrons an injustice. I say this because they are two completely different tastes. That being said, I think that the quality of the rolling and the box press of the Padron is better than most Cubans, but their flavor profile is very unique. In my humidor, I have a good selection of Cubans and a steady stock of Padron 26 & 64’s. Truthfully, I reach for the Cubans a lot more because of their flavor. That being said, while they are excellent, if you have had one Padron, you’ve had them all. This can be seen as both good and bad. Good, that the Padron 1964 that I have today, tasted the same as the on that I smoked in 2000, but bad, because the 1926 also tastes like the 1964 I had in 2000. Cuban smokes all come from the same Island and many different brands are made side by side in the same factories. All of the cigars have a certain degree of the Cuban twang taste, but each smoke has a different flavor and experience. As a whole I think Cuban cigars are better than Padrons, but the 1926 series and the 1964 are definitely the closest thing to second in the entire cigar smoking world. A perfect example is my review above…I am not comparing the Padron cigar to Cohiba, or Partagas, I am comparing them to a whole Country’s production. I know there isn’t another cigar company out there that could garner this kind of a compliment.

Review Notes: Construction and appearance are top notch. This cigar starts off with a woody and cherry flavor for the first inch. This flavor stays throughout the cigar and then after about the first inch a little earthy flavor is added in and back to just the woody cherry flavor. The final 3rd is woody, cherry and a little spice. You can't go wrong with this cigar.

Review Notes: Really great smoke. Wrapper was smooth and vein free with a solid triple cap. Flavors were pepper and leather with some sweetness on the finish. Around the 1/2 way point the spice and stayed until the end. Draw was perfect all the way through. Burn was right on and didn't need any corrections.
