Review Notes: I like this smoke in the morning on the drive into work. Don't expect anything fancy and you won't be disappointed. Smooth, mild and with a little hint of dark chocolate every now and then. The wrapper doesn't stand up to much abuse, so just be gentle with them. I was gifted the ones I have smoked, but the cigar is affordable. A good go-to mild cigar and a compliment to your morning java.

Review Notes: For the money, this is one of the best cigars I've had. I love Padron - they never disappoint. Med-full bodied. Not the prettiest gar on the market, but very flavorful, w/ a nice aroma. Word to the wise: Leave these out of the Humi for a couple days, as they tend to be a little moist, which gives them an off-flavor and often leads to burn troubles. I put mine in a dried-out, old wooden Cusano 18 box w/ sheets of dry cedar in it. The dry wood sucks the excess moisture out of them in a matter of a couple days. At that point they taste and burn very nicely.

"Highly overrated"

Review Notes: I'm sorry but I've smoked a ton of Padrons in all sizes over the years and I just can't get excited. This one was very mild and bland although there was a distinct dark chocolate taste to it which I appreciated. If they had half as much flavor and complexity as their annivery or 1926 series, they would be an admirable cigar but they don't. Just too ordinary and unexciting. Their prices are very, very reasonable I will say however.

Review Notes: I've had two of these now, one on a very windy day which meant I got a bad burn going. So I picked up another one today to see if I could come up with a more sympathetic review. Unfortunately, I still had burn problems on a clear, windless day after a light with a nice torch lighter. I am pretty convinced the burn problems were not my fault - and even if they were, Iíve seen a cigar self-correct worse issues than these. This *is* a pretty cigar: velvety brown wrapper with nice oil. As for flavor, I got a pretty nice combination of earth, leather and cocoa, with an added bit of cedar this time. The problem is that this is a very subtle cigar. Maybe itís too subtle for me, or maybe Iím just looking for something else. The flavor is very dry, and usually in a maduro I like something a bit stronger, sweeter and / or more peppery. As I got a couple inches into this robusto, I kept expecting a little more oomph or a new flavor or two. No luck. If youíre into mild-to-medium bodied cigars, this might be a great pick, but for me, if Iím going to have a maduro, Iíd much prefer something like the C.A.O. Mx2, which is decidedly medium-bodied, but still has plenty of pepper and bitter chocolate to give it some heft. http://coffeeandcigars.wordpress.com/2007/10/26/padron-maduro-2000/
