"Great cigar for price"

Review Notes: Bought a box of these and these are a great smoke! It's got a great draw, medium taste and is ultra smooth. It's rated 88 by Cigar Aficionado and for the price (less than $5 each), it's a real value. Better than some of the Cuban cigars out there. Get some of these.

Review Notes: I just received a box of these, had the first one last night. I found it to be a little mild, but very pleasant, and at just over $2 a stick almost unbeatable. It had an excellent burn, very even, and about and 1.5" ash. Unless it was a fluke these will probably become my regular.

"A great staple cigar"

Review Notes: This cigar is absolutely great for the price. It would be difficult to find a better smoke for under $4.00. Heck, this is better than some $10-$15 cigars. I will always have the 2000 m in my humi.

"Different maduro"

Review Notes: This has a different flavor than most maduro I smoke, but a good flavor. Woodsy, some hints of chocolate, a lot of smoke, good burn and draw. Nice mild-meduim smoke

"Even better than I remembered"

Review Notes: About 3 years ago, I picked up a single Padron 2000 maduro and enjoyed it on a cold & rainy night standing on our back stoop. I recall it being a particularly nice cigar, but under the circumstances, pretty much anything would have seemed nice. Well, I was feeling a little reminiscent and had some birthday money in my pocket and picked up a box last week. After sitting in my humi for a week, I finally had the occassion to pull one out and enjoy it. I have to say that it was, frankly, better than I remembered the first one being. Although the appearance didn't have that same suede texture that I recalled, it did have a nice mild box press and a nice leathery maduro wrapper. As I clipped it, I noticed the construction was very firm and I was worried it might not draw well. And although it turns out that the draw is a bit tight, it wasn't problematic or annoying at all. I detected a strong initial flavor of coffee with the first-fruit draws, but they quickly mellowed out to a very mild taste. Note: smokers who like a big, bold flavor will probably find this cigar to lack "personality". However, I found that it's personality is a pleasantly mild flavor and a very light, aromatic smoke. Unusual for a maduro, but this makes for a VERY sociable cigar (i.e., I can smoke it around my wife). The ash was very tight and although the initial lighting did not catch evenly, the burn self-corrected to a very straight and even burn by the end of the first 1/4 inch. I smoked it down to the band and eventually put it down. It didn't get hot, but it did start to get a little bitter on the last couple of draws. I am glad I got the 20-box -- apart from convincing me to always have some in my humi, these will be my "social" cigars when we're entertaining. I can offer them to my occassionally-smoking friends without sending them home "green", and I can smoke them around non-smokers without too many complaints. All in all, a great cigar, a good price, and an enjoyable experience.
