Review Notes:Great smoke, not the best looking cigar, but will definately put most of the better looking cigars to shame. Perfect construction, no burn problems, great flavor. Great value.

Review Notes:Similar to the Maduro. Not a pretty cigar but tons of creamy smoke. Perhaps a little too loose of a draw.

Review Notes:This will be my 1st review, hope you enjoy it..
Let me start off by saying that I usually smoke Cubans (and sometimes fake Cubans, unfortunately) and this $3-4 cigar is still ranked in my top 20 in my humidors.
Now that I've said that, my one complaint is that PADRONS NEED BIGGER CAPS! Padrons always have a tiny little joke of a cap! Even the anniversaries! I'm never sure where to clip it to keep it from unravelling at the head.. I punched a maduro once and had the whole cap crack and fall off. To their credit, though, I've only had ONE (out of maybe 10) that actually unravelled due to the cap being trimmed too far off. If any padron exec reads this: WHY IS YOUR CAP SO SMALL?! Ranting over.
On to the cigar.. Looks like a dog-rocket. Lumpy and bumpy with imperfections on the wrapper and a poorly cut foot on this one. There is a slight gap in the wrapper as it spirals up towards the head.
Smokes like a $20 stick, though. This thing is built like a champ. Flavors are good, too! Pre-light (after a CAREFUL clipping) was of mild spices and cocoa powder with a grassy undertone. Toasted and lit, and got an explosion of cocoa, coffee, and sweet, rich tobacco flavors with just a hint of spice to keep me interested. A meaty undertone that drifted in and out through the 2nd half was nice. The flavors didn't really change for me, but grew in depth and profile as I smoked it down to about 2". Stayed smooth and creamy. I'm confident it would have burned perfectly to a nub, but I ran out of time. The aroma was of dark chocolate and good tobacco. Strength was very medium-bodied to me, milder than what I usually smoke, but still satisfying enough. The finish was like the aroma of fresh ground coffee beans and never dry. It stayed long enough to be nice, but not so long as to still taste it in the morning. The draw was loose. I like a little resistance, but I wouldn't knock off points for my personal preferences. It yielded great big clouds of that delicious smoke, anyway! I rated this on my own personal 0-100 scale as an 83. (which is VERY good to me, just so you know. I think CA scores are way higher than mostly all of the cigars deserve.)
Overall, highly recommended to beginner and experienced alike. If you value the smoke and the burn more than the appearance and bragging rights, this is one to keep handy.

Review Notes:Now this is a cigar that lives up to it's hype. Padron's pre-draw is fantastic and consistent. The wrapper is usually slightly bumpy - but it's whats inside that counts. Nice burn throughout, I've never had a hole in one of these, and i've also never had one unravel on me. And thats after smoking at least a box. Upon lighting, nice subtle smooth spice with a hint of nuttiness. I always smoke this down to the nub. Produces a flaky white and black ash. Never harsh, never grassy. These guys a costly no matter where you go, yet these one of the few stick truly worth the hefty price tag. Few stogies come close to this - one of my top 5 favorite of all time. Save up and enjoy.

Review Notes:On the comment on krevo81: Don't chew on your cigar, to start with. When you chew on the cigar you're applying the saliva as well, soaking the head of the cigar. This will wet the tobacco making it harder on the puffs, therefore making you think you're having a plugged cigar. The cigar is not meant to be chewed but smoked. Yes, it's ok to do a pre-light draw. I work in a well known cigar store in FL, and I've seen this problem. Besides of all this, when you chew on the cigar of course it might unravel, or maybe cracked. One of the main reasons cigars crack: you may be smoking it too fast, or when choosing your cigar at the shop, you squeeze for softness, but sometimes as I have seen, smokers will grab the cigar, and squeeze it to hard until it cracks... and of course it will, it's basically dry leaves pressed together! Now as the Padron cigars, that is the "regular" line, I'll say a couple of things. First, the Padron Family is not very concerned about the asthetics of their cigars, they're concerned about the consistency, and the quality of the roll, that is, no hard draw, cosmetic problems etc. I have recomended this cigars so many times to customer, they keep coming back for more. As a matter of fact I had a customer that happens to be cuban, told me it was years he did not smoke but cigarettes, bought a Padron 3000 Natural, when I checked on him for feedback, he swore the smoke's aroma and taste reminded him the ones his grandfather used to smoke. So, to be concerned about a porous cigar, ugly etc, that would be poor judgement. There are many "premium cigars" out there that claim to be the best thing. You know what I found out? They looked so perfect that you think they came from the same leave (Maduro) but their wrapper was being dyed. So do I smoke an ugly cigar which happens to be one of the most consistent cigars or a "good looking, oo-la-la premium cigar". Another thing that could happened to your cigar; maybe it was handled and squeeze too many times by customer. The best way to judge or rate a cigar? Buy a box, or at least a few, watch what you eat, drink and smoke before you smoke it, any of that could affect your palate (taste buds), and then judge. If you want to find out about consistency, then after smoking all those, either wait some time and buy more from another store, or a recent batch or inventory, smoke them again, if they taste the same... that is consistency.
