Review Notes: No. 23 in Cigar Aficionado's top 25 cigars of 2004. It has a dark, rich color and a distinctive sharp cap; you'll have to clip off a good portion of that cap or you'll have a tight draw, so keep your cutter handy just in case. It smokes great with a lush draw, mostly straight burn, and plenty of smoke. It's peppery with some chocolate and wood flavors with a chewy texture; sharp at first, it mellows out somewhat as it's smoked. Some people have suggested that if you have the patience to age these long term, you essentially create an Anniversary cigar. That could be the case as this smoke is similar to the Anniversary line but it lacks the smoothness; aging should make them even better.

 Review Notes: Maybe my expectations were too high. I've had several 1926 Maduro Belicosos--the best cigar I've smoked, bar none-- and really wanted to like this one too. Bought five a year ago. Kept hoping they would improve over time. Today I smoked the last one. Good looks and construction. Burned nicely. Just lacking in character. I wouldn't turn one down, but wouldn't stock it either, even if they were cheaper. For reference, my favorite affordables are Ashton VSG, Partagas Black Label, and Cusano Exclusivo.

 Review Notes: This stick was rough in appearance with a dark bumpy wrapper. The foot lit well and burned very even all the way to the nub. The notes were of cocoa and leather with a hint of spice on the finish. A nice smoke just looked a little ugly in appearance.

 Review Notes: NOT THE SAME SPICE, AND RICHER IN PRICE. I PREFER THE 3000 OR 5000 NATURAL WRAPPER. I DEFINETLY AM NOT A FAN OF TORPEDOS SO THIS CIGAR WAS NOT TOO IMPRESSIVE!

 Review Notes: this cigar, has a different flavor profile than those in the regular padron line, which is a nice change ( the others seem to all taste the same to me ) and more spice & complex flavors, it does tend to get a little stronger towards the end of the cigar but not a bad thing either
