Review Notes:
While Palma Real is no award winner, it gets the job done. Here are some pros: long filler, relatively good construction, cheap. Here are some cons: cheap, somewhat harsh, no complexity. I've never experienced any draw or burn problems with Palma Real. As far as flavor, you MUST age these before smoking. Two to three months is a good start. Once they've aged the flavor is very agreeable. No complexity, just an earthy, cedary smoke with a good burn. Its mild but has just enough kick to let you know its there. All in all a great buck a stick, but don't pay more than that.

Review Notes:
Average looking stick, a few veins, not the finest looking cigar but not embarrasing to be seen with, either. Loosely packed, it seemed to be only a little heavier than a cigarette. ;-)Excellent draw, fairly straight burn, put out lots of smoke, stayed cool until the band. Flavors were consistent from start to end: cedar & nutty tobacco, some spice. The wrapper left a bitter taste on my lips, which detracted from the smoke and dropped my rating. Slightly creamy (short & dry) finish, medium body, maybe mild/medium strength. It did have a nic kick, which was nice. Not a dog rocket, but there are better $1 sticks out there.

Review Notes:
I was as wild about the Toro as the Palma Real Torpedo (see my review). Didn't seem to have quite as much flavor and the burn wasn't quite as good. This cigar is worth the buck I paid for it, but not a lot more. The mild cedar taste for me was decent, but I imagine many will not appreciate it. This is the type of cigar that goes well, with mowing the lawn or working on the car. It's for those activites where you can forget you're smoking and after ten minutes remember and say, "Hey, this cigar tastes okay."
