"Tubed"

Review Notes: I aged a few of these in-tube and a few with the tube open at the end. The open cigars aged much better and are now decent, but still not worth the price. The burn issue seems to have worked itself out and the flavors have lost the harsh overtones, but the flavors are also not nearly as complex as they should be in a 15$ cigar. I would avoid these if you plan to smoke them. They may simply be an investment cigar that you hold on to.

"If your going to get a 160 get the Tubo."

Review Notes: I have had a couple of these. This size is not my favorite, but it is good. Got a little metalic towards the end. Also, the tubo has a clove like aroma and a bit of the taste too which I really enjoyed, but this one didn't have that. Still a good smoke with nice cedar and sweet tobacco flavors.

"More overpriced than the 150s"

Review Notes: I was hoping that this cigar would pull itself further from the mundane that it's predecessor the Partagas 150. To tell the truth, it is less of a cigar than the 150 at a similar over the top price. I tend to like the Partaga line, but for this to be their "Special Production" cigar is a joke. The burn was average, the flavor was mild to medium at most and the ash flaked worse than some short filler cigars I have had. Give me a fist full of Paratags Blacks for the price of one of these 160s and I will be happy.

"Wanted to light another"

Review Notes: Beautiful wrapper, flawless with a light sheen. The tooth is very fine, a good feel to it overall, a pleasure to hold and roll between fingers and thumb. Coming out of there trick little boxes, these cigars have a delicate & enticing fermented tobacco scent with a note which is decidedly cedar. I'd put the strength of the unlit cigar at mild-average. Starting off these cigars don't have much kick, but they develope steadily as they're smoked and end with a peppery Bang! Lips/tongue tingling and a heady nicotine rush. The flavor starts off very mellow (as expected) almost bland, oaky and hinting of fermented tobacco. Slowly building in depth and nature as they burn working up to a rich tobacco flavor with a decide taste of cedar. They burn perfectly, even from start to finish with a firm compact ash, solid between your teeth never getting soft or mushy. The smoke is somewhat thin at first, as with every other aspect of these cigars, they build from start to finish ending generously. Very well balanced & pleasing in every respects. They leave me wanting to light another before the last one is cold in the ash tray. While far from being one of the best smoke's I've ever had. They rank in the top 10 of the Churchill cigars I've smoked in this price range.
