Review Notes:
I bought a few of these the other day, the first thing I noticed is that you had to be very careful with the cigar, as the old wrapper was extremely fragile, and was peeling on a few of them, right out of the box. From the beginning the cigar had excellent draw, lots of smoke, and pretty good flavor, the only problem was that as you progressed the flavor never changed. I was hoping for a more flavor and complexity, so toward the end it was almost boring to smoke. I think this is a rare find of a cigar, one to try out if you can find it, but far from the best I have smoked.

Review Notes:
I was lucky enough to try a 160 major the other day thanks to the fine folks at the local lounge.
I never had the chance to try the 150's, but I'm told this cigar is nearly the same thing with an extra punch.
The wrapper is 28 years old for this stick, so its on the fragile side.
I had a perfect burn throughout the cigar, neatly dropping 2 inch clean chunks of whitish grey ash. The 160 had a great draw, giving large amounts of thick heavy smoke. The construction was flawless, with slightly larger then average veins. Teh build was a tad hard for my tastes, akin to the Funte God of Fires. The wrapper had a lovely dusty old speckled look with I'm attributing to the age. I noticed a larger then normal wrapper to wrapper color variation, but once again the wrapper is nearly 30 years old.
I had a hard time describing the flavor of this cigar. Its extremely mellow, with a surprising amount of flavor for such an old wrapper. The only way i can describe it is "musky" in a good way, like an old cellar. A freind described his as an "oaky outdoors nature".
The burn on the major was a long one, lasting about a hour and fifteen; and i'm a fast smoker.
If you enjoy trying once in a lifetime smokes and don't mind spending the money, go for it. Once these are gone, there gone. If your more of a budget smoker looking for a great value I'd pass these on up for another stick.

Review Notes:
Ok, I know you don't smoke the label or box, but the presentation of these cigars is pretty outstanding. The wrapper is very delicate, with a few nicks... but for tobacco that is this old, not bad at all. Burn was perfect. First 1/2 inch made me feel like I was ripped off... but then the smoke opened up to a delicious medium bodied flavor accented by a great cameroon wrapper, and stayed that way until the nub. If you can find em, smoke em. Gave this a higher value rating because I can only imagine what fuente would charge for a wrapper that was aged this long. Not exactly the best cigar I've every smoked, but this was truely a one of a kind smoking experience.
