Review Notes:
Definitely on the the Full side of Medium, this is a very flavorful smoke with tons of character that definitely changes throughout the smoke. Very satisfying (and I'm real Oscuro fan), this is a great smoke after a big meal or for a special occasion. It's true that the burn is a little even, as noted by others, but really it's nothing that can't be touched-up easily. This is an underated powerhouse that should be smoked slowly to savor every nuance that is hidden beneath the dark, oily wrapper. A tremendous set up from their traditional Maduro line - great job, Partagas!

Review Notes:
When these were young, they were unbalanced, bordering on harsh/sharp. Now, despite ample age (two years +), these flavors never quite pull together. Mostly charry with occasional hints of molasses and licorice. Short finish. A stumper, really, because all the ingredients are there -- a juicy broadleaf, fat ring gauge, requisite oomph. But these smokes seem destined to underachieve. There are a good dozen maduros that deliver more at or below this price point -- the Sancho Panza and Padilla Edicion Especial, to name just two.

Review Notes:
I punched the first cigar resulting in an awful uneven burn. I snipped the next and experienced some unravelling of the cap. If you place your open cutters on the table you can vertically insert the cigar and rest the cap on the table surface for a perfect 90 degree cut. I also place a penny on the table to act as a spacer to decrease insertion depth. That and a proper toasting of the foot before lighting has improved the burn 100%.

Review Notes:
Lovely to look at, delicious full-bodied taste to the smoke, but flawed by consistently uneven burn. Smoked four and each required two burn corrections. Odd salty taste to the wrapper, as though chemicals were used in fermenting the wrappers.

Review Notes:
A very good looking cigar. Lit well, burned well. Could tell this was packing punch from the
beginning with nice spiciness throughout. Taste was good but not great. It lacked some complexity and while full-bodied and smooth for most part, it verged on harshness at times. A decent enough everyday cigar, but I wouldn't favor this over Camacho Corojos or 5 Vegas as everyday full-bodied.
