Review Notes:
Partagas...well the name alone elicits a historical romanticism in me that few cigars can. No matter what I smoke, I often best remember my first partagas black. A cigar that puts hair on your chest, and some black dye (but I hope not) on your fingers and lips. All of us remember our first time, or at least our first good time. Partagas black was not my first, but it was the first time I did it with any aplomb. The Piramide hangs from the mouth like a burnt exhaust pipe - luckily, the flavors and fullness are worth the girth. This obsidian giant will take you on a long ride and likely leave you all smoked out when you are done. Robust flavor, well constructed, great draw, a first rate cigar at a fair price. The dye rumors hurt me, but no wrapper can be this uniformly obsidian without adulteration I do not think. I may never smoke another PB, but I will always remember my first good time. PB was my first good time, and even I will likely eventually come back to this beast of a cigar. Don't be scared, it won't hurt - maybe a little.

Review Notes:
What a beautiful cigar and what a disappointment. Absolutely plugged, unsmokable. I've had no luck with dark Partagas cigars (the #8 maduro, in my experience, is equally as poor...too tight, no draw at all, little flavor, burns hot.) I tried and tried and then tossed this thing after an inch. Save your money. Buy a padron, they draw smooth every single time.

Review Notes:
The Partages black has been my lontime favorite in the 50 and 54 ring size for its spicey heavy sweet tones. But the 60 ring toned down this blend and made the cigar very smooth and slightly sweet. the massive size paired with the rustic black tobacco make an impressive looking smoke. The smoke was very nice but it has serious burn issues i have run out of butane in my lighter touching up this cigar on many occasions.I think stick with the 50 or 54 ring these sizes really make the cigar sing.

Review Notes:
My title says it all. I really enjoy this cigar. Occasionally a burn issue, but usually self-correcting.
I've had a box in the humi for 3 months now, and the flavors have evened (burn starts with a spice, chocolate, pepper) appeal, and now holds through 2/3 of the cigar.) Gets slightly spicier toward the last 1/3, but notes of chocolate and pepper hold.
Great value for a cigar on the medium side of Full.
