Review Notes:Purchased this in the DR in a five pack. Everything looked real not a fake, It had about 3-4 months of aging in the humidor. I wasn't blown away it was ok. it wasn't bad but ok. I think my palette likes the very strong smokes and this was not one but ok.
Review Notes:This is a very nice cigar to smoke.Very nice flavors and a flawless burn. One of my favorites.I have about 10 of these left and looking forward to them all.I havent had a bad one yet and they seem to be a very consistant smoke. If you come across them give it a try you will not be disapointed.

Review Notes:This dark, leathery and mottled cigar would never win a beauty contest. Its maduro wrapper was marred with veins, holes, and a white spot that could have been glue. The sides were straight but the foot bulged a bit like the bell of a trumpet and it bore a flat, even triple cap. The earthy pre light aroma had a slightly sweet and spicy character, and once the cap was clipped the clean draw tasted of anise. The cigar was heavy and had a nice springy feel to it.
The initial flavor was woody with a background of dark fruit. The papery finish had a familiar flavor. Years ago on dove hunts we would sometimes build a small campfire of fallen cottonwood branches at night, and the finish carried the taste of that wood smoke. The cigar burned straight and the gray ash was firm, and when tapped it left a medium cone that glowed in the darkness. The cigar had a tendency to burn hot and I found myself having to pace my puffs. The lovely aroma it exuded was sweet and exotic, like tobacco incense.
The lurking fruitiness helped me select a glass of apple juice to accompany the smoke and the two got along famously. About halfway through the flavor gave a strong impression of canned peaches. Medium strong with Honduran overtones, the flavor of the cigar kept trying to break out but never really distinguished itself. It began to burn a bit unevenly in the second half, but never distractingly so. A quiet hissing and popping accompanied each draw. I enjoyed the cigar on the front porch and the chirping of frogs and the rushing of the creek below provided a lyrical soundtrack for the hour we spent together.
Overall this was a pleasant cigar. Although somewhat flat, the flavor was strong and kept evolving. The cigar reminded me of a Belinda I once smoked while strolling along 6th Avenue in New York. Recommended.

Review Notes:Box code ECA AGO 02. This is a blockbuster. Plenty of smoke, full bodied, strong, complex, each flavor stands out yet blends each other. Also, it would even improve after a year or two. Price is reasonable, too. A must try!!
