Review Notes: Smoked with a friend after a very copious sunday lunch, this D1 is absolutely excellent, with great Partags flavours (cocoa, mainly) all very smoothly blended together. This is part of a box bought in Paris airport. Probably this cigar has got to maturity, if I see previous comments. Only issue, a slight but not unpleasant harshness toward the end. Excellent construction, too. Price was around Euro 12 apiece ($ 14), not cheap but not worringly expensive for this excellent cigar.

Review Notes: this is one of the best cigars bar none, and i'm a montecristo man. the construction is the finest i've seen, beyond any reoroach. a big beautiful cigar with a rich, dark, smooth wrapper. the burn and draw are perfect. the flavor is a deep, smooth full earthy one. no harshness anywhere.

Review Notes: Man this smoke rocks, to date the best stick I've had, slightly better than the Monte #2 in that it burned perfectly but still had all the good flavors and looks. I'm giving out my first 10's across the board! There might be a smoke that's flavor you like more but as a rule this is my measuring stick from here out.

Review Notes: This is an Edicion Limitada truly worthy of that status. It is easily one of the top three richest, smoothest cigars I've EVER smoked, with note of dark, bittersweet chocolate with a touch of black cherry essence. Construction, appearance, burn, the whole package is as special as a cigar can be. It tastes, to me, exactly like brazilian rosewood (the mother of all tonewoods) smells when made into a world-class guitar. I am going to try very hard to keep these as long as I possibly can. ( BTW, this is the very first time I've ever given a cigar a perfect score.)

Review Notes: This is a big, handsome and finely constructed cigar, that drew and burned well. It is graced with a beautiful, dark reddish brown wrapper. The Partagas 2004 LE is medium bodied with notes of sweet wood and earth that were initially subtle but developed more fully. Surprisingly smooth, round and balanced for such a young smoke, it never struck a harsh note, even at the end. However, I was expecting greater strength. A sweet woody finish. Delicious and satisfying.
