Review Notes: Ok. Never thought I'd join an online community for cigars. However, i recently got a hold of one of these cigars and it blew my mind. I just had to share. A lot of these reviews are from 07 and 08 and the reviewers cite the need to age. Now they are 4 yrs old! amazingly i just found a box. It was frankly one of the best cigars I've ever had in 20 years of smoking. Amazingly complex, a taste journey beyond description. A tad tight, but marvelous.

Review Notes: This one came from the LCDH in Cancun. I was anxious to try this smoke, as the original 01s are one of my all time favs. The wrapper was dark like the 01, but I don't think the box press was there in quite the same way. The flavors were some what muddled and it wasn't quite what I recalled about the 01s. This cigar had modest spice and little bit of earthyness.

Review Notes: had to be relit a couple of times, but i think it was a little over-humidified. had similar flavors to the shorts and sd4s. spicy, but sweet. built up nicely to a full bodied gem.

Review Notes: I want to up date my 2006 review of this cigar because I spoke of it's potential after smoking a few out of a box I purchased shortly after it's release. I've had the box for over a year now and it is still 2/3 full. Definately not my "go to" cigar. Beautiful to look at and the spicy strength is great. The problem is that 50% of the ones I've tried are rooled far too tightly. I'm one of those guys who like to smoke a cigar and not just wave it around re-lighting it 15 times in an attempt to get it to burn. I live in the tropics where the humidity runs much higher that you would ever set your humidor. Perhaps the wet factor plays a part here. But, I don't seem to have the same problem with my 2 usual smokes ... P-4 and Monty #4 P.S. Review program would not let me post this with out filling in "Price Paid" Actually I have forgotten, but what ever it was it was too much.

"Needs more time"

Review Notes: A nice looking, toothy cigar, with thin veins. It was smoked in a Tokyo Cigar Bar while drinking Macallan 18. Great construction, burn, and semi-tight draw (typical of Partagas)...the cigar had fair amounts of spice, and toasted nuts, but I think it needs more time to really come together. I'll try another one in about 6 months.
