"A classic cuban"

Review Notes: A classic cuban says it all. For me the flavor profile of a Partagas. Burn was good but the construction was more or less. Underpacked as about 10 to 15% of habanos but over-all a great smoke.

Review Notes: Had this cigar after about 6 months of humi time and it came from a box dated sept 07. Started out plugged but gave way about a third in. Flavors were similar to the D4 but had a cinnamon aftertaste with some hints of gingerbread. Burn was great as it was stored at 65-68. Flavor is more refined than the D4 and rightfully so as this was an hour plus smoke. Never once did I feel overpowered but felt balanced. This is probably due to it's age. Strength does increase as it burns but not uncomfrtably. The cigar was one of the best looking I've had yet with an oily dark wrapper that smelled of spiced cream. Looking forward to trying my last two in the months to come!

Review Notes: I purchased a 3-pk of tubos, which are absolutely slick, BTW. And lit up the first one as soon as I figured they were reconditioned. Boy, I think the ones I smoked before this one were all fakes, cause I was absolutely blown away! Big flavors of coffee, cedar, and rich tobacco, with a very distinct sweetness that stayed on my tongue and lips with every draw. And, of course, the "twang". Had a little bit of spice throughout, but became positively peppery in the final 1.5". I hope this mellows with age, as it was almost too much for comfort. Burned very well, especially for a CC, only requiring a single minor touch-up for the whole cigar. The draw was a bit tight, but delivered billowing clouds of smoke, until I finally nubbed it with only 3/4" remaining. The finish was long and sweet, a parting gift from Havana, and I can only imagine how much better these will be with some age on them. I am buying a box and another 3-pk as soon as I can afford them, and we shall see! Highly recommended. These might take the crown from my coveted Montecristo No. 2s in a few years, if they age well. Plus, if they don't come plugged or burn crooked, that would put them over the top, as they are neck and neck right now, IMO. But we'll see. One cigar isn't enough to even begin to make that kind of assumption yet, so I am forced to smoke many more. Poor me! = )

"Creamy, complex & delicious!"

Review Notes: This was my first habano... creamy and delicious from the very first puff. Pepper, caramel, cedar, coffee intermingle throughout the smoke! A very distinct taste I haven't had in any other smoke. All this along with an ample nicotine kick! A definite must try and now a staple in my humidor.
