"Crap in crap out"

Review Notes: I had previously smoked this exact cigar about a year ago. Tonight my first impressions of the cigar were confirmed. The best the cigar did was produce a burnt espresso flavor. For the majority of the smoke, however, the dominant flavor was of dry ash. A very harsh burning cigar. I store my cigars at 70% and this cigar tasted like it was out to dry for weeks. The year of storage in my humi did nothing to smooth out the flavor. I'm glad I only had three to begin with and paid a little more than 2 bucks for each in a large sampler of other, much better, cigars. I didn't experience the horrible draw problems that previous reviews did, but the draw is tighter than I prefer. Only try this cigar if it is gifted to you.

"Old Favorite"

Review Notes: To celebrate West Virginia's Victory over Duke in the NCAA Tournament I smoked one of my last two Exponentes. I smoked a couple of cigars last week that were only in the humidor a couple of months and promised myself I'd only smoke cigars that had been aged at least 6 months, at least for a while. The Perdomo2 Exponente is an old favorite and it's been over 18 months since I last reviewed it. This cigar gets better with age it had a smooth Maduro taste that was rich and earthy. It was not real sweet or chocolatey, but still has a very nice flavor. The burn and drawn were excellent. This is an attractive cigar, especially with that bright yellow band. It's hard to find this cigar, but they say they still make them. If you know where they can be had let me know. If not I will treasure my last couple sticks.

"Let them dry!"

Review Notes: The first Exponente Mauduro I smoked had been in the humidor over a year. It was great! Chocolate/Carmel taste, and very smooth. What a pleasure. So I order another 10. I smoked the first and it was unremarkable, I wondered about the difference. Then I read :gumby's" review. The difference was that my first Exponente had dryed and the second, I had only a few days. gumby's right they need to dry.

"A solid maduro"

Review Notes: I find this particular offering by Perdomo to be a solid smoke. Unlike some I've tried lately, you know you are smoking a maduro with this line. I have smoked many of these and they never disapoint. The flavor is quite full and complex enough to hold your interest. Strength on this beaut is perhaps just north of medium. Great for enjoying an after dinner beverage.
