Review Notes: This cigar was thoroughly aged and it showed. The wrapper was gorgeous and thick, and the ask was crisp and white. I was not blown away by the flavor, and also I had some burn issues and re-light issues. For a $13 cigar I expected more...but hey the buzz was there baby

Review Notes: My local tobacconist had several boxes of these lined up in his humidor - and never having heard of the brand before I asked him about them (especially those big "Legal Cuban Tobacco" sticker on the boxes). He assured me they were legal and that he wouldn't keep them around if they weren't a great smoke. I picked up the Pinar 3000 Churchill - and hot damn was I pleasantly surprised. The stick itself is not particularly attractive. Dark, veiny, no band at all. But the wrapper is very oily. Starts out very sweet, smooth and pleasant, and only gets better as you smoke. The burn has been razer sharp on every Pinar 3000 I've smoked so far, no touch-ups required (and I was worried about this when I saw how ugly the stick looked). Very sweet and nutty, with a light creaminess. Unlike Frunobulax, I didn't detect any unpleasant sourness at all. I currently have about 10 sticks aging the humidor. Overall, this is far better than many smokes two or three times the price - you owe it to yourself to give these a shot. If this were just a few bucks cheaper, it would be my daily smoke. Absolutely delicious.

"Pinar 3000 Capa Colorado"

Review Notes: These are great, I have read plenty of reviews of this cigar and most of them are playing down this fine cigar. I think that if you get a bad Pinar its either not a Pinar or was stored incorrectly and maybe even moldy. I dont know, but the box I have is terrific, smooth but flavorful, rich aromatic smoke. The only complaint that I would have is that they dont burn even every time. I smoke five churchills last week on my honeymoon. The price is high but I have smoked more expensive cigars that were lesser in taste and construction

Review Notes: These were Pinar P3000 Capa Colorado XXX Churchills....Cuban Cigars, eh? God save us if this is Cuba's best. Lousy construction, raunchy taste, inconsistant burn, and ugly to boot. They may be made of pre-embargo Cuban tobacco, but that's as close to a Cuban cigar as they will ever get. Best thing about these is the varnished box (yea, I got sucked into buying a whole box). save your money and buy the La Gloria Reserve Figurados! These are a BIG YUCK!!!

"Great taste/Rough burn"

Review Notes: This smoke was the El Feroz version of the P3000. Pre-light aoma is uniquely sour but not unpleasant. Supposedly the El Feroz tobacco was stored in sherry casks for 50 years. It fires up with tons of smoke and a flood of great flavor. Draw remains very light. I'm not sure why some people think this line should taste like the cubans they have been smoking. I'd expect tobacco this old to be unique no matter where it came from. No problems here with flavor. Construction/burn another story. Burn was uneven in the first half, requiring several corrections. Ash was too soft and flakey, falling on its own several times and causing more burn problems. Overall I'd say this smoke is a novelty. Great story, great flavor, mediocre construction. The price is what you would expect to pay for a limited supply product with this history, but it's still way too high. I'd recommend that you try one or two so you can say that you did, but don't expect the heavens to open up.
