Review Notes: This is a follow up on the Chateau L Maduro Cigar I have aged for five Years. The cigar has aged incredibly well—and I must say surprisingly well. It is a well made, dark, and rough appearing cigar in appearance. It lit well, drew perfectly, and ashed crisply out of the box. Each cigar has always been consistent one to the next. Prior to aging it was at times overpowering and a "no nonsense cigar." It was great to have occasionally at the end of the day and after a heavy meal or when I had enough time for a long smoke. Prior to aging it was not very flavorful with strait tobacco flavor with a hint of cedar. I enjoyed them but only smoked them occasionally. I purchased three boxes of cigars just prior to my son’s birth and passed out two of the boxes to friends and family and saved one of the boxes for aging and smoked one every year on his birthday as well as other special occasions. Sentiment aside, following the aging of this cigar for about five years it is absolutely great. It lit perfectly, drew evenly, and produced a very aromatic smoke. The overpowering tobacco taste has mellowed and melded with the flavors of nuttiness, sweet cream, and a spicy cedar that I could really never taste before. My only regret is that I only have about half a box left and have to buy more cigars and wait and age them for another five years. I recommend them for anyone who has the time to wait about five years and later spend over an hour to smoke and enjoy these cigars.

Review Notes: Wow! Powerful and I got sick as a dawg but it was one of the most wonderful, full flavored ones I've ever had. Took me almost 2 hours too. Have a little cubed sugar nearby to take the edge off before it's too late!

Review Notes: This large cigar was great and a very theraputic smoke. It took me well over an hour to smoke this bad boy. It was pungeant at the beginning, yet rounded off into a smooth yet full-bodied flavor. There was a top-note of sweet leather and a cedar-wood finish. Nice white-layered ash and a clean finish. Smoked this baby right down to the end and had a pretty nice buzz going. The draw was a powerhouse, w/ large volumes of smoke. Be sure to sit down and relax when you smoke this one.

Review Notes: I smoked one of these to celebrate the 1/2 way point of my college life. This cigar was the first I had smoked in over a month, and had aged in my humidor for well over 6 months. The smelled nice, and looked very attractive, with a dark, even wrapper. The construction was firm and bulky, you could tell this stick meant business. The cigar lit easily, and from puff 1 was excellent. As I smoked it for a long period of time, I was amazed at how well it smoked. The ash was tight and consistent, only falling off when you tap it. The smoke was thick and aromatic and seemed to be just right. The cigar builds from medium to full bodied, and as you get toward the end, it gets pretty stout. Overall, it was an excellent cigar, and I will throw another in the humidor for another special occasion.
