Review Notes: Just set one of these down in the ashtray with about a good inch and a half left and really can't say that I mind too much. Received two of these in a taster pack from CI about two months ago and they have been sitting in my humi at about 67% RH since. Took one out today looking to have a quick smoke while I read a book outside. Solid looking stick with a rounded box press to it. The wrapper was grainy, felt like low grit sandpaper to be honest. Cap was sloppy looking, like the roller had just slapped it on in a hurry to get out of the factory for the day. Broke out my Xikar 2 and gave it a standard cut upon which the wrapper split. I was able to salvage most of it around the cut area but there was still a spot where I just had to peel it off and expose the binder. Granted, that's not really a big deal. I've herfed down stogies that have been in much worse shape than this one and they were still great. Pre-light draw was SUPER loose. Seriously, like sucking through a straw kind of loose. Nonetheless, I pressed on and stepped out onto my back patio where I enjoy my smokes at. Lit up easily, the loose draw actually seemed to aid a little bit in getting this thing going quickly. After about two or three draws though it began to run on one side and needed to be corrected. In total I had to correct this thing four times before I was done. Taste was rather bland with occasional hints of burnt coffee and hay on the finish. Every now and then I would get some spice and earth but those instances were few and far between. The draw did eventually tighten up a little bit around the half way point but the cigar still smoked a little hot due to the amount of air passing through it. As I said at the start of this review with about an inch and a half left the cigar tunneled and put itself out and I didn't bother to re-light. Overall this was a slightly below average cigar. Considering this was a RP offering I was expecting a little more but I guess they can't all be winners. May smoke the other one I've got sitting as a yard gar but that won't be for a while to come. Not recommended.

"The winter cigar"

Review Notes: In winter I still have to smoke outside in the cold, not the best conditions to try something new or have something I want to savor. The REO robusto has been my go to cigar during these times. Well constructed, decent flavor and at the price I don't mind pitching it early. Never had a problem with the burn or draw. Taste wise, I would say mild spice with a earthy undertone.

"A letdown at first"

Review Notes: I got a few of these from various sources, one has been aging for many months (lost track), two have been aging for about two months. The older one smells amazing, and I'm going to let it age for a lot longer to see how it turns out. I smoked one of the newer ones along with a nice cup of coffee (nothing like a caffeine buzz to go along with your nicotine buzz). The first half was pretty flavorless, just a straight tobacco taste, and it had a tendency to get hot pretty quickly, so I set it down and went to make a second cup of coffee. When I came back to it, the cigar had picked up a small, nutty aftertaste, which disappeared after a few more puffs, to be replaced with tiny hints of leather, which remained until an inch remained, and the cigar got too hot to be worth it. Overall, a decent smoke, but much more mild than it appears to be. Don't be fooled by the dark wrapper, it didn't have much of a nicotine kick, and you have to try pretty hard to appreciate the taste. We'll see how the other two age.

"Settled in"

Review Notes: After a good amount of humidor time on this stick, I am happy to say that this is among the finest cigars I have had for the price. Thanks to a great CI deal a while back, I came into a bunch of these smooth, heady and well build sticks. If you can manage a deal on these, you need to do yourself a favor and grab them up. Cigar of the year accolades are deserved.

Review Notes: Decent smoke, oily wrapper. Small burn issues minor tunneling, corrected itself. Oily taste on my lips throughout like buttery tobacco. kinda new flavor to me. very smooth. good aroma. Taste very smooth and buttery until end of 2/3 then i change to classic tobacco taste until end. a good 2 ash smoke, for 2 bucks a pop this is a must have.
